Lovely place to stay close to amenities and plenty of parking. Would have been better had we not had to ask for our keycards to be reprogrammed for our stay and to allow lounge access twice.

Position of hotel excellent, staff throughout excellent, rooms we were given poor with doggy smells. Sorted after the third attempt. Spoiled our stay has we had to move rooms 3 times because of the smell. Was told by housekeeper we don’t allow dogs but we saw 3 in the hotel and grounds with clients and spoke with one owner who had their dog in the room. We are in our 80’s and found it upsetting changing rooms.

Very central and comfortable

Good stay - very central with discounted parking a big plus. Was clean and comfortable with good facilities. Was a bit bemused I came back to the room at night to find a spare camp bed had been set up for some reason (I was a solo traveller and had confirmed that on check in) but it didn’t impact the stay. Overall I thought it was very good value for money.

Ideal

The Crowne Plaza is in a convenient location two minutes walk from town and is in a beautiful setting. The grounds are well kept and the gardens, with ample seating, overlook the river. This is a very relaxing spot with a lovely view. The room was a standard; large, comfortable, and clean. The hotel itself is well maintained and welcoming, with friendly and professional reception and catering staff. We will certainly stay at this hotel for future visits.

Very convenient for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The hotel has a smart interior appearance, and the room was comfortable. What you would expect from a large chain hotel.

Beautiful reception, staff were so friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Restaurant and outside gardens were beautiful. Dinner was delicous and breakfast probably the best i have hadnin a long while. Special recognition to 'Mick' who welcomed us to the breakfast table and put a smile on our faces with his humour and friendliness. Will definitely come again.

Great location near the waterside. Alin on reception provided a swift and effiicent check-in. Spacious rooms with decent amenities. Liked that there was a physical lock on door, big tv, desk space and plenty of light. The blackout curtains were decent too. What could be improved? Small things but the main issue was with thin walls, i.e. no soundproofing so could hear people talking and closing wardrobe doors in the next room.

Amazing hotel

Hotel was in a perfect location in the city center, very clean and recently modernised. The staff were friendly and helpful, parking was onsite (additional cost) and lovely bar, but expensive Breakfast was a buffet but very well stocked, didnt use gym facilities but looked brilliant and we even got to check in early
