Booked a single room and was nicely surprised how large the room was . Bed was Queen size and very comfortable. Bathroom with bath and shower,very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was good only downside there wasn't any private changing rooms.

The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was a bit tired and the cold tap on the sink stopped working on the second day of our stay. The room we had was at the back of the hotel overlooking a car park and it was a very different, more basic style to the character-filled Manor House front of the hotel where we presumed all the rooms were located. I was a little disappointed with the comms with the hotel before we arrived; it was my partner’s birthday and my request for information about putting something special in the room weren’t answered and my query about accessibility of the bathroom was greeted with information about upgrading the room before eventually answering the question. I think it was probably a chat bot rather than a person which meant the human touch was missing. The other disappointment was the restaurant. The menu online looked amazing (one of the reasons for booking the hotel) so we booked a table but the menu we were presented with was much reduced. We were told the better one was only available for people who had booked longer stays and paid for a package. There was no mention of this on the website and it wasn’t offered to us. Comms were a bit unclear with everything accessed by QR codes that led to the website, including contacting reception as there was no phone in the room. The hotel was very well located to the town, there was no road noise and the bed was very comfortable.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool and gym facilities were good and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very overpriced and not very good, and the price of food and drink was generally very high for what it was. Overall a pleasant stay.

Room was lovely and I’m so glad we asked for a room upgrade so we could stay in the Manor House. Lovely lady checking us in also. The room was a little tired but to be expected, just a hole in the glass window which was making the room cold. Only hiccup was we asked for fresh milk for our coffee in the morning which took ages and led us checking out later than the required 11am. Other than that, lovely stay and hopefully stay again next summer and visit the spa when we have more time.

The room was in a poor state. Toilet wasnt clean,there were marks on the bedding and tiles in bathroom were dirty or adhesive was discoloured. Considering we paid £500 for the two days i dont thinkwe would visit this hotel again.
