Supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy and services outside the door, lakefront at 150 meters. Unlimited free parking nearby. Free beaches about 250 meters and free playground for children. Ideal for those without cars, 400 meters train station, Pallanza, Arona and Locarno 200 meters and bus stop to / from Malpensa to 150 meters. From Stresa it is possible to take very evocative walks along the paths to the mountain.

Central location near Lake Maggiore

We spent 10 nights in Stresa in Ambretta’s apartment in via Principe Tomaso. It was very well located in easy walking distance to popular piazzas and many restaurants and shops in central Stresa. The apartment is very bright on the first floor, adequately furnished and well appointed kitchen. It has a huge sunny tiled deck shared by only one other apartment. Free Car parking is available within a short walk. You don’t need a car to reach most of the local attractions, as they are well served by the flotilla of ferries which criss-cross the lake. Also, train services to Milan and Domodossola are nearby and frequent. Whilst the area is very touristy, it is also very relaxing, especially along the lakefront. The entire Lake Maggiore district is quite magnificent. Recommend a day trip to the Borromean Islands and a visit to Villa Taranto. The funicular no longer operates due to a tragic accident some years ago, despite it still being listed in many tourism brochures.

fantastic apartment space in centre of Stresa

This place is great! We went with family (2 young kids) and really enjoyed it. The photos on this website do not do it justice, it's light and airy, spacious and spotless. The balcony bit is huge and looks out over the quieter of Stresa's two squares. Ambretta was welcoming and full of suggestions about things to do. The tourist info is just down road, (by the ferry port, not where Google maps says!) too. Walkable distance from train station. Loads to do in Stresa and this is a great place to be based.

Perfect holiday accommodation

Lovely apartment. Spacious for the 5 of us. The supermarket is a minutes walk away. The ferry, lake and restaurants are just a few minutes walk. So perfectly located. Communication from the owner is excellent. Stresa is a beautiful place to stay.

Schöne Unterkunft mitten in Stresa

Die Wohnung ist schön, hat eine schöne Terasseund liegt mitten im Ort. Meistens konnte man in der Nähe einen kostenfreien Parkplatz finden. Da es im Zentrum meist sehr laut ist, müsste man die Fenster nachts zulassen. Dann hat man nichts gehört. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
