Thinking about putting the day-to-day grind on hold and taking a trip to Harz? There are a small number of quality hotel options close by.

The Hotel Zum Bürgergarten and Hotel Zum Kanzler are your best bets in Suedharz and being within a 10-kilometre radius, are just a short drive away from the town centre.

30 kilometres away from the main part of Suedharz is the Best Western Hotel Schlossmuehle. Alternatively, the Wyndham Garden Quedlinburg Stadtschloss is situated 30 kilometres away. Another possibility is to make a reservation at the Schlosshotel Blankenburg/Harz or the Hotel Quedlinburger Hof.

Once you've gotten to know Suedharz, why not spread your wings and visit the other great things to see and do around Saxony-Anhalt? Photograph Saxony-Anhalt's forests, rivers, streams and lakes. Or, go to some of the region's castles. Fun-loving tourists might also try their hand at snowboarding and skiing here.

It is well known that we Aussies just love to have a good time, so consider staying a little longer and check out the Goslar Imperial Palace and Mines of Rammelsberg, in Goslar, 60 kilometres to the northwest of Suedharz. Get your sporting fix with a visit to Red Bull Arena, which is 95 kilometres to the east of Suedharz. The Steigenberger Grandhotel Handelshof Leipzig and the Radisson Blu Hotel, Leipzig are both good options if you want to get amongst it.

Visitors arriving or departing through Erfurt Airport may find it convenient to book a room at the Airport Hotel Erfurt or the Hotel & Restaurant Park-Cafe ISA, which are both conveniently located nearby.
