En general es un motel viejo pero comodo, tienen que mejorar el tema de limpieza en las habitaciones pero en lineas generales es un buen motel. El personal fue amable, las camas eran cómodos. La distancia del centro de Key West es buena. La zona es tranquila para poder descansar.

Peaceful Retreat

We stayed for a week at the 2-story Lodge. Overall, our stay was pleasant. Our intention was to be near my partner’s family as well as convenient to Route 1 (aka, “Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway”). A native of the Lower Keys, my partner was familiar with the area and the Lodge. We found the Lodge to be “retro” in style (as others have mentioned), aka, the décor and style was “dated,” but the staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the location excellent. The doors to the rooms front on Rt. 1, but the back of the Lodge with individual balconies overlooks Sugarloaf Sound—a beautiful and calm oasis to which to awake each morning. The adjacent Tiki hut offers morning coffee/tea service as well as a shaded place to lounge, but you will need to find a source for breakfast (I think “Baby’s Coffee” is the closest.) The rooms do have mini refrigerators. For dinner and/or cocktails, restaurant “South of the Seven (mile bridge)” is open adjacent to the Lodge’s front desk building. There is also a small marina and skydiving nearby and a small outdoor pool on property.

Ok but needs attention

I wanted to give this place better marks because the two guys at front desk were very friendly and accommodating with 12 pm late check out and where to fish advice. This is important if you like to fish because you can’t fish on property and they didn’t answer my message about that when I booked. The stay was ok but property is bit unkept and the floor was not cleaned properly. My socks were proof. This could be a great place with some better upkeep. If I had to stay again I would but wouldn’t be 1st choice.

Think Twice

Place is not just in need of remodeling, the furiture is straiggt out of early 60's but not in a good way. Be prepared to fight bugs all noght. THEY say Mangrove Beetles, doesnt matter, they wete ifested and its tiresome slapping at them

Old Florida motel

for the price of the room, we were not impressed. it really needs to be updated. The water just trickled out of the sink to wash my face and brush teeth. The air conditioning buttons weren’t working great and the TV didn’t have very many channels. We thought we were gonna be able to fish on the property since we were right on the water, but there was no fishing.
