Dirty from floors and walls, to bed sheets and pillows. The room temperature was very warm (even with open windows and heater off) and there was nothing the staff could do to help. The only positive was the ski in-out.

both on check in and on check out the staff at the front desk were brutal. don't even great you with a hello, thank you or how was your stay. Plus the guy during check out had horrible BO. they clean your room every three days which I guess is ok post covid but when they did they only made one of the two beds used. half service. the place is also in need of a refresh.

Only possible issue was that a pan and pot from previous guests in the kitchenette were dirty and needed cleaning prior to our use and that the refrigerator struggled to keep contents cold.

Amazing location and it’s quite clean and a good value compared to other hotels in the area. The property is getting tired though. There a few maintenance issues- burnt out light bulbs in room, nothing to scrub pans with (so we had pans with the last persons eggs baked on and nothing to clean them with). Plus it can be really loud if you are at all near the elevator and stairs, or if you have upstairs neighbours that think it’s ok to have your kids run around in ski books at 645 am (not really the hotel’s fault, but there was not a lot of soundproofing). If you are over-height, parking can be an issue as we got the last spot in the overflow of the overflow. Not sure what people that came in after us did. if you wanted to drive to the Nordic centre or somewhere else, you would have lost your spot.

The property and rooms are not well maintained and very outdated related to the price we paid per night. Loved Sun Peaks but would not likely ever return to the Sundance Lodge for our accommodations given conditions of the rooms ans facilities and price per night.

Parking is very tight, the rooms need a deep clean (carpet and walls) and reno, and the rooms at the far right when looking down from the ski hill can be loud with patio music (but doesn’t go in too late), however the location is great, it is dog-friendly, and the staff are terrific.
