The property staff was amazing! Jackie really accommodates and is extremely friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and updated! Great stay for a few nights while being in between apartments.

Beware 😬

Our stay at the Sussex Motel was horrific. I fell in their slippery bathtub shower. There was no ventilation and became steamed up in minutes as I fainted and fell due to no ventilation. The bathtub shower was very old and slippery. The hotel smelled of cigarettes and weed. It shows very nice in their photos but not really especially the outside 😬

I never checked in. The exterior of the facility was in poor condition and had a general creepy feal about. It looked like low class housing with the residents mulling about outside. Very courteous person on the phone when I contacted them requesting to not stay. It was too late to cancel (4 PM) so I ate the charges and continued on my way.

The picture that Expedia shows of the motel is NOTHING like it actually is. The parking lot is a mess, nothing but pot holes. Pulling in it looked like a homeless shelter and I wish I could have turned around and driven away. You can believe I stripped the bed and check for bugs. The water in the tub ran constantly, the rug on the stairs was disgusting, looked like it had not seen a vacuum in a LONG time. I usually bring my own pillow, wish I had this time, "My Pillow" does not cut it. For the price I paid, NO WAY would I recommend Expedia, you really should VET the places you list and rate them accordingly or not list them at all, in this case.

Worth the money -- I will stay here again

The hotel was generally good. It's a bit rough on the outside, but the inside was pleasant and well-cared for. The only complaint I have is a minor one -- the hot- and-cold-water faucets were reversed in my room, with hot on the right and cold on the left, at both the sink and the shower. (I stayed in Room 23.)

LOVE this place. Management is so kind and genuinely wants to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The rooms are beautiful and you can tell someone paid attention to detail while designing them! Very clean. I travel with service dogs and have stayed here twice with no funny business- they are educated and respectful!
