Disliked: Cleanliness
We arrived to a lovely pub and were excited. We went up to our room and the rook. Looked nicely made up. Only problem was the shower had not been cleaned the toilet had pee on it and the towels that were neatly rolled and placed on our nicely made bed were soaking wet. It was like they had just come out of the washing machine or somebody had just showered. The pillow cases were also used and covered in make up on the underside. When I went down and complained the staff just laughed and said “it sounds like they missed your room”. The scary part is they made it look like it was freshly cleaned but was not done. So not missed at all but deliberately not cleaned. Great efforts had been gone to to make it look ready for new occupants. Sneaky and gross. How often do they do this? Surely it’s harder work than just cleaning the room. Definitely gross to think about it and sets the tone for the standards of the place.
The pub was good with good music but after knowing that they tried to get away with the room like that we didn’t eat there.
