I had stayed at this property in the past under different management and had a much better experience at that time; I would have rated it higher then. Currently, the hotel is undergoing renovations, so improvements may be on the way. However, during my recent stay, I encountered several issues that significantly impacted my experience.
There was dried paint on the bathroom floor, the furniture was mismatched, the flooring was peeling up and while one bed was in decent condition, the other was collapsing. I requested a new room at the front desk; they did offer an alternative, but unfortunately, it was no better.
Additionally, the pool was out of service; something that was not mentioned at any point during the booking process. Had I known, I might have made a different choice.
What was most disappointing, though, was the attitude of the front desk staff. When I voiced my concerns, the employee responded with a sigh and later snickered at me when I asked about other room options. I found that unprofessional and dismissive.
While I understand renovations can temporarily affect the guest experience, respectful and courteous service should remain a constant. Unfortunately, the unprofessional service left a lasting negative impression.
