The hotel although older was clean and rooms spacious and comfortable. Our room had magnificent views of the harbour bridge and opera house. The hotel is a nice and reasonably priced hotel in a fabulous location.

Not a great choice overall. The bathroom vent can’t be turned off and makes a loud noise all night, so it’s really hard to sleep. The room wasn’t very clean, and there was visible water damage on the skirting boards. The only good thing is the location. The hotel is definitely not as good as described.

The member of staff we met on reception when we arrived was really friendly and after discussion we decided to pay for an upgrade to a lovely apartment room with a balcony view. The property is a bit tired , but rooms are very spacious , the balcony was great and had a great view , interrupted at times with large cruise ships. The location for this hotel is fabulous. The staff in this hotel are excellent and very responsive if any concerns arise.

Room was fine, but aircon was not working well in a 37c day, so contacted staff and offered us an alternative room for our 2nd night, which was wonderful! Also added some wine, cheese and crackers for the inconvenience, which was a very nice touch. The location is wonderful right in the heart of the Rocks district, very handy for cruise terminal. Didn’t get to use pool which looked nice.

I can only speak to the historic cottages at the front of the property (not the tower) but staying there was like stepping back in time. Historic accommodations in a historic neighborhood. Loved everything about it. Staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. Access to nearby shops, restaurants, and the cruise terminal couldn't be better.
Historic cottage #001, right next to the hotel's main entrance. You get the whole residence!
