I booked the Sofitel Darling Harbour so I could attend an event nearby. The hotel is in a great location, with the Convention light rail stop across the road, which provides access to Haymarket, Star City, Sydney Fish Markets and Central Station. The hotel is also a short walk to the ICC and many restaurants in Darling Quarter, Darling Square and a longer walk to the CBD. The hotel foyer is gorgeous and when we left we noticed a staff member with a tray of juices which she was offering to patrons of the hotel. The hotel rooms were a nice size, the beds were comfortable and the pillows were nice. My only issue was the cleanliness of the toilet which had a gross stain on it, it looked like it had been there for a while, it's a small thing, but could easily be cleaned with a magic eraser. The hotel rooms had amenities such as a shower cap, cotton buds, cotton pads, TWG tea bags, slippers, coffee pods for the coffee machine, Balmain shower gel, body lotion and shampoo and conditioner. The rooms have decent sound proofing, however I could hear a man yelling loudly after midnight. Overall this hotel was lovely, the staff were wonderful.

The hotel was nice. Rooms were exceptional. Unfortunately the pool area let it down. The glass by the pool is dirty and the pool is a little too cold for a 5 star hotel. For what we paid we would expect those little bits to be better but a nice hotel overall. Great spot next to the light rail stop
