As soon as I walked in, it smelled like weed. There were unsavory characters everywhere. Someone had tried to prop the door open to let more shady characters in with a rock. It was loud. The toilet was broken. There was a light blasting into the room all night. Honestly, it was a terrible experience. The only silver lining was that it was clean.

The kitchen seemed brand new and clean as was everything in our room. Best of all the hotel was quiet. We thought it would have made more sense if the kitchen was at least stocked with a few cooking supplies and dishsoap, as it had a stovetop. It did have a place setting for two.

Home away from home

My daughter is a medical student and was doing a elective clinical rotation at a near by hospital for a month and needed a clean, quite environment to study with a small kitchenette this was perfect .

The rooms are exactly as pictured, simply decorated and clean. The property feels secure, and the room felt clean overall, with floors well swept and the bathroom spotless. The spread on one of the beds clearly had food spilled on it in multiple places, not just a stain but actual food. The sheets underneath seemed clean though. So it's not a perfect 5, but a pretty nice place for the convenience and price. Definitely near the highway, so if you're a light sleeper you may want to bring noise-canceling headphones or plan to have white noise.

A Basic Clean And New Hotel

We needed a hotel for a one night stay upon arrival in Syracuse. This was a good option as it is a clean, new hotel. It is not a luxury location, but worked for us

Never again. Suite with a kitchen, but no cookware, no coffeepot, only a plate and silverware. You have to BUY a coffeepot to have coffee in your room! Speaking of coffee, the lobby machine is shut down most of the day. No breakfast of any kind, just some vending machines. Then there's the room: some lights did not work. Bathroom fan has a sensor -- it runs for a while then stops, but doesn't stop -- it stops blowing air and instead buzzes and clicks incessantly. The bathroom light is on a motion sensor -- get up in the night, walk in and be blinded by full on lighting! Wide awake now! Noisy -- new building, walls of paper, kids making racket, TV, people talking, and the place was mostly empty. Smoke detector -- great, except its flashing light was like a strobe above the bed all night. Finally had to put a band-aid over it to get to sleep. Then the pot smoke started drifting in the window. Legal or not, it smells. Worst stay at an extended stay place ever, and I stay at those 40+ nights a year. Never Again!

I did the self-check in that was fast and convenient and the overall condition of the property was great. The problems that we had were the room could have been cleaner. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom and there was some debris on the bed springs. The bed was basically a thin mattress that sat on a spring frame and wasn't very comfortable. We only stayed overnight so it was okay, but definitely room for improvement. It could have used curtains and some touches to make it feel more like home.
