Very homey and quaint - just don’t mind some cracks or scrapes on the walls. The staff was very attentive and cleaned our room everyday, replacing water bottles and towels, arranging stuffed animals on the bed in a funny way. The staff allowed us to leave our bags in the lobby after we checked out. They answered our questions and were very hospitable. The location is unbeatable. Right next to the MRT and two steps from a 7-11 to fill all your late night needs. There is some traffic noise that is loudest right next to the windows. Perhaps noise dampening curtains could help.

Perfect location, simple inexpensive hotel

We stayed 11 nights in room 305, one of their spaciest room. Everything was adequate; fridge, tea and coffee bags, mugs, water cooker, filtered water just out side our room, daily cleaning service. Whenever we needed something, the receptionist (specially Alex) took care of it. As we are older folks, he even carried our suitcases up to the room! Apropos, one drawback are the two flights of steep stairs from the street entrance up. Location is perfect, 50 m from the MRT stop exit 1 (escalator) and 2. The hotel is in the middle of a busy market, but that did not bother us. Plenty of restaurants nearby, 7-11 downstairs.

Convenient location

We stayed here for 2 nights and short stay was ok. Conveniently located near Dongmen Station. Get out from Exit 1 and turn right (to LinYi Street). After passing three buildings you will find the hotel on your left. 7/11 store is just next door. The front desk is not operated at night (closed after 9:00 PM), but they will give you a keycard and you can open the front door easily. We checked out at 6:00 AM and we just left the room key at the front desk. If your check-in is at night time, you should contact the hotel for procedures.

Nice hotel less than 50 meters from Dongmen station #1. Simple in and out. Nice staff . They are not available until 10 am but were efficient and great communication leaving my key out for entry. Room was clean but small. Great price. Would stay again. No problem for me but no elevator or breakfast available. Refrigerator in room

Wonderful staff and perfect location. Subway is very close. You can walk to Daan Park easily. You will be near the Red subway line, which takes you easily to museums and attractions. My room was large and the bed was comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location easy to explore this city. The concierge was really helpful and the shower and bed are really great. The only suggestion would be having more outlets to charge and more pillows.

For the price, I wasn't expecting much, but this place exceeded my expectations. The staff was fantastic. Location can't be better. Markets with fruits, vegetables, foods and goods in the mornings and the subway entry is less than a minute walk.

great family room in a convenient part of Taipei.

What an interesting family room. The adult room was downstairs and there was a loft with a small spiral staircase with the "kids" room upstairs. The room was beanstalk themed, which added a fun touch.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room conditions were alright. Even though there is a no smoking rule, it smelled like cigarette smoke. The chair by the bed also had a lot of stains. Despite the conditions of the room, the location of the hotel is very convenient and close to a lot of shopping places and restaurants.

There are things I loved about this hotel. The location is fabulous and the room was spacious. But the walls and doors in our room looked really dirty. There was only enough hot water for a 5 minute shower and then we had to wait 10-15 minutes for more water to heat up. Also, it is near a busy intersection, so there was traffic noise throughout the night. I would stay there again if I couldn’t find anything in the same area that is nicer.

Surprisingly nice hotel

Loved the location. The hotel doesn’t look great on the outside, but the rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, the rainfall shower with 3 additional shower heads was great, and the hotel supplied us with free water bottles daily. Next to the hotel is a 7-11 & an excellent open-air market with fresh fruit/vegetables, local specialties, meats, poultry, juices, clothes, accessories, shoes, etc. The Dongmen mrt stop is just outside the door of the hotel as well as bus stops. The front desk staff all speak English. They even kept our luggage for a few hours. Only drawback is for people who can’t use stairs. There were very steep stairs to get up to the lobby, and I’m not sure if there is an elevator in the hotel to reach upper floors.
