High quality, excellent value

Great place to stay in Taiyuan. All the rooms are on the upper floors of a tower block - ours had a great view over the busy city to a lake and distant mountains (when the smog cleared!) The facilities of the hotel are top class and there's an excellent Chinese restaurant - great choice of delicious food at reasonable prices. On the other hand the breakfast wasn't particularly good value.

Great Staff, Very Clean, Uncomfortable Room Temp

The hotel staff was very professional and responsive to my needs which could be addressed. The only negative was that the rooms did not allow for the temperature to be controlled; my room was very warm and when I asked how I could cool the room, the response I received advised me to open the window. If you have been to this hotel, you will know that the windows only open about 12 cm not allowing for much cool air to enter the room. Additionally, the air quality is tough in this city and opening a window would not have been my first choice. It is for this reason that I gave this hotel a neutral rating. I think total comfort of a room in a hotel claiming to be rated between 4 and 5 stars is critical.

ONE DAY ONLY

I had a wonderful experience. BUT... Make sure when you book you are booking for the main hotel which is what is showed in the advertising. I was been escorted to an adjacent building belonging to the hotel that looked like a 2 star. I immediately brought my concerns to the staff an stated that this is not what I booked online with Expedia. They took me back to the main hotel and I had to pay an additional fee to stay in that building. This is something I wasn't expecting. Had it not been for the long flight, I would have insisted I be given the upgrade with no additional fee. So, please check your booking... The main facilities and stay were exceptionally good. I had a great stay.

Convenient hotel for visiting relative.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. There was even a pillow menu which catered for all preferences including a lavender pillow to aid sleep. The rooms were of a very good standard and the food was good. The staff bent over backwards to be thoughtful and helpful and even when their English was not up to understanding us all the time, there was always someone who could be called whose english was excellent.. We felt very well cared for and would stay again.

Great Hotel, Fantastic location.

We stayed in this hotels apartment suite. It was just what a large family needed with a great central location. I would Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. This service was great and had all the amenities I needed, kitchen, washer, drying facility, and much more.

Great service but a bit old

It was a great hotel in terms of service, even beating many 5 star hotels in service and the only grip is that being the first 5 star hotel in Shanxi, it is a bit old.

書いて来な滞在をすることが出来た。

最初予約が入っていないと言われたが、再度ちぇっしてもらい、確認できた。そのためかアップグレードしてくれた。快適な滞在となった。
