Right next to the train station convenient as a launch pad. Hotel feels modern and warm. Front desk staff helped us called a dozen local restaurants to book dinner for new year eve, although we can’t find one over the phone, we definitely appreciated their dedication and service. Onsite public onsen is great, clean and tasteful, it has both indoor and outdoor pools.

We’re so glad we booked this hotel. The trip to Takayama is long, and knowing it was right by the station was a huge relief. The location is truly 5-star. You’re also just a 5-minute walk from the bus station, which you’ll need to get to Shirakawa-go. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff was incredibly helpful, especially when making restaurant reservations. After a long day of walking, the foot bath on the top floor was a great way to relax.

A very nice environment and hotel design. However, after check-in there was no further service. Everything had to be collected from the Reception …clean towels ect. Any room cleaning was an extra cost on top of an already expensive room rate. Many of the staff were friendly and courteous but did their job nothing more. would not stay there again.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was hearty and thoroughly enjoyable. The onsen was fantastic, with thoughtful details such as rotating the men’s and women’s baths daily, which reflects great consideration in the design. There are plenty of spacious lounging areas, making the hotel feel open and comfortable. I loved the art direction and creative curation throughout the property—especially the boutique shop that highlights local producers, as well as the way the hotel shares the stories of the artisans behind the interiors and details on each floor. Overall, it offers great value for money. I highly recommend opting for the breakfast package.

The hotel lobby was beautiful, the location next to the train station was very convenient. They offered private onsens for the best rate I saw, and that was extremely relaxing. The rooms were very minimalistic but clean. The bathroom felt like I was in a nice mobile home, very utilitarian and flimsy-feeling, but the shower head was great.
