Enjoy stargazing from the hot tub of this brand-new 3BR/2BA Taos home, affectionately called Casa Cielo. This home offers a secluded location that lets you enjoy privacy, hiking, and incredible mountain and desert views. Soak up the vistas while grilling dinner on your sunny covered back patio.

Gorgeous custom features and traditional design are found throughout this 2,500 square foot upscale property with amazing mountain views, including a kiva fireplace and traditional viga ceilings. The chef in your group will love the gourmet kitchen.

This home also features the work of local artists. Of particular note are the breathtaking and beautiful photographs of architecture, people, and landscapes in and around Taos.

LIVING AREA

This inviting space boasts old Taos charm, a gorgeous kiva fireplace, large windows, and handsome viga ceilings. A pair of plush armchairs, a love seat, and a queen sleeper sofa sit before a 36” TV.

KITCHEN & DINING

The gourmet kitchen impresses with ample granite counter space and a full suite of stainless steel appliances. Highlights include a gas range, a double oven, and French-door fridge.

Enjoy incredible views of the desert while sharing meals at the nine-seat dining table.

BEDROOMS & BATHS

This home sleeps up to eight guests between the three bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa.

The spacious master bedroom boasts a king bed, walk-in closet, flat-screen TV, and access to a sun-drenched patio. An en-suite offers a double vanity and walk-in shower.

Both the second and third bedroom each have a comfy queen bed. A guest bath has a double vanity and tub/shower combination.

RV parking is allowed outside of the driveway, but please note there is no RV hookup.

This rental does not have air-conditioning. Ceiling fans and traditional adobe walls create a cool indoor climate in the summer.

THE LOCATION

Your Taos getaway offers a quiet setting out of town, giving you a wonderful sense of privacy and plenty of hiking trails to explore. Yet despite the secluded setting, you’re 11 miles from Taos Plaza and 12 miles from the ski area. Located in the center of Taos, this historic plaza is home to galleries, boutiques, and popular local eateries.

Drive 20 minutes to visit the historic adobe settlement of Taos Pueblo. Also within a 20-minute drive, the 900’-deep Rio Grande Gorge is worth a visit for epic views of the canyon and river below. Picnic areas surrounding the gorge offer a perfect spot for lunch. The luxurious Ojo Caliente spa is less than an hours’ drive away.

Loved everything about this home. Lovely southwestern style with attractive decor. Beautiful kitchen/family room, comfortable bedrooms with 2 nice bathrooms. Cute Ramada where you can grill and enjoy the outdoors. Nice hot tub. Enjoyed the 360 views and the dark skies for stargazing. We would definitely come back and stay longer next time.

Peaceful getaway

We enjoyed our time in Taos and our stay at this home. The location is very secluded without any neighbors visible from the house our patio. This made it a very peaceful getaway. But still a short drive to some good restaurants and an easy strive into Taos. Amazing views of the mountains and night sky. The house has no air conditioning, but even on the hot summer days, we were comfortable by opening the windows overnight to cool down the house. A good layout with large open concept and roomy bedrooms and bathrooms.

Gorgeous views!

Would have given 5 stars but the master bed mattress is worn and needs replaced. Incredible views from every room! Hot tub was much needed after skiing each day. 30 min drive to Taos Ski Valley and 10 minutes from Taos downtown area. We took our Golden Retriever and he loved the space. The property isn’t fenced but is secluded so we never had a leash on our dog. Kitchen is stocked with non-grocery essentials so I was able to cook every day while in the mountains. Pics do not display the majestic Mountain View’s!

Beautiful property and well maintained. Comfortable beds including pull out sofa bed. Full kitchen necessities. Basic toiletries and laundry supplies with well maintained washer and dryer. 10 minute drive into town of Taos. 25-30 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley and 1 hour to Angel Fire. Hot tub perfect after ski and well maintained. House very clean. Only issue was flies. When we arrived, many dead flies under kitchen window sills and back doors both in main room and in master bedroom. Would be worth having a small hand-held vacuum to keep clean. Otherwise, great stay for myself and a friend, my two teenage boys and his teenage son.

Despite a concerning problem at check-in, wrong tenant had correct instructions to unlock our doors, and a blocked toilet which took 24 hours to correct, we still had a lovely time at this rental. The management company was quick to respond and always took our concerns seriously and worked as quickly as they could. We would stay here again!

One of our favorite rentals ever

We loved the spacious, clean house with the beautiful high desert land and sprawling views. Well stocked kitchen, abundant pillows, direct TV, and the hot tub made this property stand out. Our kids loved adventuring walking around the land. 25 minute drive to skiing, 15 mins to Taos plaza and dinners. Would love to come back.

Lovely Ski Home

The house was excellent and was 100% as-advertised. If my group of friends/family decides we want to do Taos again, we would absolutely stay here. It was only about 4 turns and 20 minutes to/from the mountain with beautiful scenery the whole way. The only downside was being about 25-30 minutes from the larger grocery stores, but if you just need to pop out for some chips or wine there's a small, well-supplied market just 2 miles from the house. Would definitely recommend this place to Taos Ski Valley visitors!

Peace and quiet outside the mountain

Nice place between Taos mountain and downtown Taos. Tucked away for privacy, and a nice hot tub for after skiing all day. Kitchen was fully stocked and more.
