Situated a little out of town centre but within walking distance. Good hotel, good size room with very nice en-suite. Nice and clean. Lovely breakfast. Overall a nice stay

Disappointed

The receptionist was confusing and didn’t give clear instructions and presumed I’d heard what she had instructed the lady before me. Others too could be heard querying her directions! The room had no decent tea, just infusions and decaf. Importantly she queried my opinion on the size of the free bottle of wine. She thought it was the 187ml when everyone in catering should know a “bottle” is 750ml. She gave me 4 of the small in the end. Breakfast was from 7-10. I arrived at 09:30 to find all the buffet had been cleared away. They obviously didn’t keep track of the guests arriving for breakfast . I had the full English which had obviously been sitting for a while as the toast and black pudding were soft with the fried egg added last thing. I think the quality of service has gone down although I can’t fault the room itself.

OK but could be good

Overall stay ok. Had a downstairs room next to reception which was very noisy. The room was an accessible room which was slightly awkward as the bathroom was set up for wheelchair use and all the mirrors were at waist height. The chef was off sick so no food available and the breakfast was limited with inexperienced young staff member who clearly had little training on waiting tables.

Convenient location and friendly staff

Good all round hotel with friendly staff and very good location opposite the train station. Ten minutes walk to the twin centre and plenty of free parking at the hotel during our two-night stay.

I love this hotel. Its has such a cosy feel, its always very clean and even though its next to the train station, noise is never an issue. Breakfast was also delicious.
