The town centre is about 10 minutes' walk away. Tejeda has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Biosphere Reserve, has been named Top Rural Europe and is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Walking through its emblematic streets and squares is an unforgettable experience, as is enjoying Canarian gastronomy in the different restaurants and cafés in the area. Museums, the Insular Centre for Medicinal Plants, crafts and the famous almond sweets from the area make this a memorable experience. Hiking enthusiasts will find trails that lead directly from the house to the Tejeda Caldera, as well as to the rest of the island.
