About this property

There’s A Whole Coastline That Doesn’t Know You - Yet!

Newfoundland’s Wild South Coast - where the road ends and the adventure begins.

Not resort oriented, but real Newfoundland outport living perfectly suited to travellers seeking authentic community experiences. Walk our beaches, trails, and coastal fjords offering panoramic views and a privacy that gives you a feeling of owing it all.

Visit the many inhabited - and, some not populated - outport towns and villages, each with their unique cultural take on traditional Newfoundland living.

Catch the coastal ferry with a picnic lunch for a day trip along the rugged shoreline, stopping along the way to explore villages accessible only by water - guaranteed to be the most inexpensive, memorable day on the water you’ll have while Newfoundland.

Return to the down home feel of the cottage and enjoy a well deserved soak in your private hot tub with water views that never disappoint and a sunset sky ablaze with the dying light.

After dark find yourself a comfy seat on the deck with unlimited star gazing sure to engage your imagination or gather around the firepit to roast marshmallows and talk the night away. Having a lazy afternoon? Stretch out on the outdoor sofa and just breath while basking in the sunshine, or on a cool day relax indoors with a favourite book, turn on one of the many wifi music channels, let the fireplace cast a warm embrace and time will stand still, if even for a few hours.

Hungry? The kitchen's pantry is well stocked and the locally owned grocery store stocks everything and most anything you'll need to create your favourite meals, or try a new recipe. Their hand cut meats are hard to beat, especially when tossed on the BBQ. And, remember cod, halibut, mussels, and scallops come from local waters, so you know they're fresh, fresh, fresh.

When it's time to turn in for the night pick one of the 3 well fitted bedrooms with their crisp, pressed sheets, warm blankets, and snuggle worthy duvet covered comforters. Blackout blinds or shades discourage the early light from disturbing you until you are ready to slip on one of the comfy robes provided, put on a pot of coffee, and drift out to the "bridge" (porch to the rest of the world), and sink into one of the many seating arrangements overlooking the water.

This property is perfect for couples, small families, friends, writers, artists, work away or rotational workers wanting to experience the ever changing wild nature of the south coast of Newfoundland.

Your soul will reset in the quiet of the cove. And, when it's time to leave you're sure to find yourself thinking "If only I could stay another day." There's always next time.
Make yourself at home in one of the air-conditioned guestrooms. Bathrooms have bathtubs or showers and hair dryers. Conveniences include washing machines and irons/ironing boards.
