Conveniently located hotel. Enjoyed using the pool. Hotel restaurant food was good for both breakfast and dinner. Staff welcoming and helpful. The car park was quite tight to park in, if on the end of the row as I was.
We arrived for check in to a very cold welcome from Courtney. She was rude and abrupt. When arriving in our room, noticed straight away how dirty it was. I tried to call down to reception to find the phone was not plugged in and no socket was to be found. I went down to show photos I had taken and we were given another room. This room was much the same. Filthy, outdated and in need of some proper maintenance.
Two of the four plug sockets didn't work, the bathroom smelled of block drains and the walls are paper thin and at 11pm I could hear everything going on in the room next door. The lift to the third floor was out of action.
They also placed a solo female traveller as far away from reception as possible, I can't believe hotel chains still have no policy to protect vulnerable guests.
I mentioned all this on check out and the girl just stared at me like I had three heads.
Was pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation and facilities.very impressee. I would have rated excellent. However, one of the receptionists could have been more friendly and let the rest of the staff down. I also found a used sanitary pad on the floor in the bathroom.
One of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in! Absolutely first class in all departments - comfort, facilities, service, amenities, restaurant, location and lovely, welcoming staff. All boxes ticked for me.
Nice hotel with lovely extras such as a water table and biscuits for dogs.
Breakfast buffet was good with full selection.
I had a family room and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable with a really thin mattress.
Turned up at location and Algotel failed us, woman behind counter done her best to help us and bent over backwards, 5* service from her she was so helpful cant thank her enough
