Disliked: Amenities
The Mulaj 'hotel' is actually about 40 rooms in an old apartment block which also has permanent residents and Airbnb rooms. It is not a traditional hotel with well trained and attentive staff offering a friendly service.
To be fair the location was excellent.....everything worth a visit was in walking distance.
Our 'apartment' room with balcony was clean enough but not particularly well equipped. The lighting was very bright with no side lights in the living room.
Our 'neighbours' were at times very noisy and were more likely to be tenants and not 'hotel guests'......on our last night they were chatting and laughing all through the night and kept us awake.....we could not/dare not ask them to be quiet !
We had to ask more than once for the room to be 'serviced'.
The inclusive breakfast was ok but pretty much the same every day.
The 'hotel' offered no additional facilities.
Some staff were helpful and friendly (mainly the young women on the front desk) but other staff were surly, unhelpful and indifferent.
Nevertheless we enjoyed our 4 day stay as Tirana is a great location.
