This is a real find. Really authentic alpine property, rooms spacious and modern and clean. Convenient to walk into town. The real plus was the host who was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Full of knowledge about the town facilities and attractions as well as the history of the area, great wine bar nearby too. Will definitely look to stay here in the future. Thank you

Andrea was very welcoming and an excellent host. The history of the property is amazing and we were walking distance to a wine bar and downtown. The breakfast was also lovely. Beautiful property.

If I could give them 6 stars I would. Nice 10min walk to town but other good restaurants near by. Great views and should walk outback to the city wall for good city photos! I would also like to thank our host who was very helpful and service was excellent!

Andrea was a very attentive host even before we arrived, coordinating our arrival at 23:00 perfectly. The old chalet style property was just beautiful — modern updates have been made but they match the style of the building exactly. We enjoyed having a large private portion of the balcony to ourselves. There were also a number of comfortable outdoor lounging areas including a roof top patio. The breakfast is definitely worth having — great food (and Andrea cheerfully found some gluten-free options for my celiac daughter). So many restaurants to choose from just a short walk away. The wine bar just at the end of the block is definitely worth going to. We know this is our favorite place to stay on this trip, and we stayed at many places. We plan to come back someday to this very welcoming hostel (we had a private room with its own bath, so felt like we were in a hotel, but there were also rooms with bunkbeds and shared bathrooms). Couldn’t recommend the Ostello de Castello and its owner/host more highly!

We had a fantastic stay at Ostello del Castello! The hotel is quaint, charming, and full of character. Andrea was a truly wonderful host—warm, attentive, and always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. We loved our stay. The property had a lovely charm and coziness. Elisa was an amazing host, she helped us with everything from taxi, late night warm milk for the kids. She made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay as good as it could be. On our checkout, she waited in the rain with us to make sure we got the taxi safely and gave us umbrellas. I would definitely recommend this property and be back myself for sure.

Andrea is an amazing host. We really felt like we had been invited into his home. The location is his grandmother's house , 700 years old , that has been renovated beautifully. The view, in the evening especially , from just above the house is incredible. Andrea was so welcoming and helpful. He gave us tips on what to see and where to eat, that we really appreciated. We didn't want to leave. If you are ever in Tirano this is the place to go!
