Not so good a stay...

Unfortunately my experience at Mimaru wasn't one to recommend. Despite being assured that our room faced a quiet alley, it was noisy with what sounded like garbage trucks or road works past midnight and into the early hours, and other nights people smoking and the smoke came through air vents into the room. Our room was right next to the lift and laundry at the end of the corridor - note to self, ask for higher floors. The pillows were small and hard and mattresses on the bulk beds were very thin like we were on planks. We were there for 7 nights and I would say this was the worst stay I've experienced in Tokyo. Probably the only good things to mention were 7-11 right downstairs and a pharmacy next door.

Location is great for travellers who’ll take the Shinkansen for the next journey of their trip. Having a konbini with a currency exchange machine is very convenient. The staff responded to our inquiries and requests at a timely manner. Property is well-maintained. The pics in Mimaru’s website show a good representation of the suites we booked.

On point with the Mimaru brand

Our experience at this Mimaru location was wonderful. The front desk staff were not only helpful and knowledgeable but also genuinely pleasant, making our stay even more enjoyable. The accommodation was conveniently located near several train stations, and having a 7-Eleven right downstairs was incredibly handy. Additionally, the on-site laundry facilities were a great bonus and worked perfectly, adding to the overall convenience and comfort of our stay.

Fourth and Best Tokyo Hotel

Fourth trip to Tokyo and this was the best hotel we’ve stayed at, so far. So much space compared to most other Japanese hotels. Staff were all polite and easy to communicate with. Location is good as it’s between two subway stations, close to Tokyo Station, and direct JR line to Tokyo Disney Resort. 7-Eleven on the first floor was so helpful. Did not have any issues with the cleaning schedule. We used the free luggage storage area after check-out since we had a later flight on our last day. Overall, a 5-star experience.

We stayed at Mimaru Tokyo Station East for 5 nights. We are a family of 5- with two teenagers and a 10 year old. The room had two showers a bath and two toilets, a small kitchen and seating area. There were two bedrooms -one containing two single beds and a bunk and the other with two singles. While the area is not the most exciting part of tokyo we chose it because it allowed us to easily travel to disney and the other activities we had planned. We were happy with the location and found it incredibly convenient. The staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful and the 7/11 was directly downstairs which was very convenient. The restaurant Saizeriya on level 2 was a good option for dining when we were too tired to walk. We liked Denny’s down the road for a la carte breakfast.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 10 days with our 3yo and 5yo daughters. The kitchen was small but functional. The girls' bath was full sized which was great. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that they generally tried to clean our room in the afternoon which conflicts with the kids' nap schedule.

Convenient to JR lines and metro subways. Easy to get around Tokyo. Staff is great. Limited bureau space in the unit. Bed or couch is the only location to open your suitcase. No coffee machine. 7-11 on the bottom floor has decent coffee.
