This hotel is exactly as I wanted hotel in Bisbee. Quaint small hotels that have the original feel are amazing and authentic. I have lived the experience everytime I have stayed here and would recommend for my 1st choice in Bisbee.
Perfect little spot in Old Bisbee. Short walk to everything you could want. Staff was friendly and helpful when we needed them. Really cool old school vibe. Would definitely stay there again.
They were overbooked and we almost didn’t get the room we reserved and others were turned away. There was a gas leake at the hotel and the occupants were evacuated at 4 am in 40 degree weather. We say I. The street in pajamas and waited until 7 am when the gas was turned off and we were allowed to go in and get our belongings. The hotel will not return my calls asking for a refund. Pass on this one folks.
The hotel was evacuated at 4am due to an undetermined odor that resulting in the fire department and gas company having to investigation for a couple of hours. While the incident was not the fault of the hotel, it was disappointing that there were no hotel personnel on site during the incident to direct and inform guests, and no post visit follow up from the hotel. A second issue was that the dining room was understaffed for dinner which caused us to seek out another restaurant. We were looking forward to our stay in this historic hotel, but would not return in the future due to these poor management issues.
Stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights and we had a great time. Staff was friendly and everything was in walking distance. Parking can be a little tricky but we managed to find parking nearby.
Lift NOT working - for a long time. No convienent parking so pay overnight parking . Food closed 3 out of 4 nights. And latest in open nights 8:30 same with bar closing times around 9:00/9:30 - Tiny - ugly room and very basic miniature bathroom - all grubby and very tired quite different to quaint and historic. Indifferent staff and really dreadful experience. Could not wait to leave. Typical Sunday night one place ( not great ) to eat closed at 9;00 and 2 bars (effectively- in hotel area ) closing at 9:00/10;00 -area has seen much better times - would not stay over again.
The deluxe king room had a small plastic shower, a bed where my feet were 4’’ higher than my head, a broken coffee maker, dirty carpet, and mismatched furniture. Paid $200 for a hotel room that was terrible.

issues with keeping warm. older hotel so heating was subpar at night
It’s was an old historic hotel, could use some renovation. At 4 am we all smelled skunk! At 4:45 am we awoke to the fire department banging on the door telling us to evacuate immediately. Stood in a near by park for 2 hrs, when they let us back in no management in site and no one could tell us what was going on. We gathered our things and left. We arrived home all our belongings smelled like skunk! Very poor stay and still don’t know what happened!
No on site parking. Elevator broken. Pool was dirty and unusable. Exit doors were constantly found propped open..one by the pool leading to the street..ZERO SECURITY and you are 11 miles from the border. Paint peeling off ceiling and walls. The mattresses were old....Not worth the over priced charge
Parking non existent. Only elevator broken. Most of the local shops were closed. Restaurant had very few dinner options.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I would have liked in the bathroom a box of kleenex and a plastic cup. the bed was very comfortable and slept well.
The bar had no winesexcept in the box? And the restuarant was out of many items...
There was never anyone at the front desk and no room service. We couldn't find anyone to ask for more toilet paper or clean towels. The hotel itself with the history was the only good thing about it.

Disliked: Cleanliness
All in all the reason for staying was because it was an old part of Arizona history so I rated everything high except cleanliness of the room. Bathroom floor was not mopped before we got there. The worst part was a used bandage that was in the middle of the floor when we arrived. The building is run down yes, because it is old and that’s the charm of staying there but they should take more pride in keeping it clean if they want to charge $266.00 a night.
