This motel is very old and the room I stayed in has not been updated for at least 30 years. It felt grotty and unpleasant. The room smelt sour, the carpet felt like it hasn’t been cleaned in years and the pillow cases smelt like someone’s sweaty back had been lying on them. There comes a point in time when upgrades must be done rather than charge prices that reflect a better quality motel.

Did not have any electrical plugs near bed so CPAP machine needed to have a long extension cord (which we conveniently brought with us) in order to be used. No crockery or cutlery except mugs, teaspoons and water glasses. We had brought our own plastic plates and wine glasses and plastic knives and forks so not an issue. Also no face cloth in bathroom and again we brought our own.

I really felt comfortable and safe at the motel. However, if you provide a toaster, can you also provide plates and bread/butter knives. I did not see, anywhere a folder providing information for guests. It may have been in the drawer that I didn’t open. I will stay there again. It’s a great location. Thankyou .

Room was ok and clean. Didn’t like the managers attitude to the wi-fi not working, hence I had none. Plumbing noisey and only power point was behind the bed, difficult to connect my CPAP machine. Would not recommend motel.

Good Sound Accommodation - with some curiosities

This is good sound accommodation - clean and well maintained - and if you can get a good price excellent value for money. There are some curiosities. There is a welcome provision of a microwave, however, if one were to heat anything there is no crockery nor cutlery. (there are two mugs, two teaspoons and two water glasses). Vinnies second hand would be fine but some cutlery and crockery would be good. And for the drinkers a bottle opener and some wine glasses. And the Wifi is rather weak. All all in a pleasant stay.

Disappointed there was no cutlery or crockery provided in the unit, we had to ask for them. Otherwise it was a basic unit. Beds were very comfortable! Visitor from out of state. Would have been good to have some info on Toowoomba i.e.,map etc. in the unit to look at.
