Great stay, would return

Great hotel, clean and airy. Laundry was very useful. Staff pleasant. Shame the bar/ restaurant wasn't open for the evening of our stay. Great breakfast the following morning. Nice to be able to order from a menu rather than the standard buffet!

Lack of service. Stayed 4 nights and had no housekeeping at all. They took our towels but didn’t replace them until we called the next day. Garbage was never emptied and toiletries were not restocked. Only provided one key per room, which was inconvenient.

Nothing worked in our room

Unfortunately, this was my worst hotel experience ever. Firstly, our suite smelled of smoke and was unbearable. It was clearly smoked in recently. After our complaint, it took over an hour for them to find us another room, which is fine because the other was horrible. When we arrived in our new room, which the pull out couch was broken, we were ready to prepare for our music festival, but our fridge did not work. After another hour, it was replaced so our food could be refrigerated. When trying to heat our meals, our microwave didn’t work. It felt like issue after issue, which we resolved the following day. When we returned home from the festival at around midnight, and opened the sheets to our bed we were met with many short curly hairs in our bedding. Which is disgusting… Being as late as it was, we flipped the sheets ourselves and went about our night. This was the most chaotic first night at a hotel ever, and simply intolerable from a hotel that wasn’t cheap either.

Nice place - standard. I was surprised there was no free breakfast bar in the morning - I thought this was standard for all Best Westerns. Guess I’ll look at other hotel chains now instead of just going with BW as a default.

The hotel was really nice. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The location is not close to anything like dinning, transportation or shopping. The room was very clean and we had a unit with kitchen and one bedroom. Ice machines on some levels were not working and we had to go all the way to the main floor to get ice. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there. I would recommend the hotel to others. It is about 60 minutes to downtown Toronto by train!
