Staff was friendly but often and noticeably on their phones.Several soccer teams were drying 30 of their jerseys on front lawn in sun.Appearance looked bad for check in. The team was gathered in lobby after midnight playing and running and loud talking. We moved to higher level and it was quieter and much better. Coffee station was out of hot cocoa, sugar and the hot water was cold, bathroom had no toilet paper, the pancake machine was broken—very disappointing since breakfast was the reason for booking to save on eating. Location is too far from Niagara Falls; traffic turned a 1.5-hour drive into 2.5 hours. Hotel lacked basics like razors and shaving cream, toothbrush.
Elevator and hallways smelled like mildew, and the carpets throughout need replacing. Staff is doing their best, but the hotel clearly needs upgrades and better attention. Not the standard of the brand it represents.
