Monte Carlo Inn Vaughan

The price was great compared to other hotels in the area. What was a negative experience was the phone call I received from the hotel on the day of our stay. A hotel Rep called and explained that my card was declined for the security deposit. I explained that I wasn't aware this was going to happen and the reason it was declined is that I used my debit card when I booked it. She understood that part as this happens quite a bit but then she asked for a credit card right away or they were going to cancel the room. I was at the gym in the middle of my workout and for obvious reasons I did not have my wallet on me. She kept asking for a card when I was not in a position to do so. She was going to cancel the room by 3pm if they did not receive the deposit. I understand why they need this but did not see this requirement when booking. It was the pressuring phone call that was not very customer friendly to say the least. In the end, a half hour after that phone call they got the card they required but I was not impressed with the attitude of the Rep that called.

Clean, quiet rooms, good location and affordable rates for this area. Close to subway station. Walmart across the street. Quick check-in. Overall a good stay. Only bad thing is the rooms are getting very dated looking, in need of a modern renovation.

The property was in a convenient location to where I needed to be. The hotel room had a strong cigarette smoke smell to it that was very off-putting. The bed made a noise with every move that was made.

This is our go to for staying at when we come down for my medical appointments every 3 months. It’s close to where we need to be. The price is always the best in this area and the hotel is clean and the majority of the time quiet.
