Benefits: Good breakfast nice view Good service Cons: A strong smell of insecticides in the room (causing a headache) The hotel covers a large area and therefore not suitable for people with reduced mobility Evening meals are not good enough

2nd time there and the same brilliant experience!

Despite Marinedda's size, they really manage to keep its high quality service. As photos show, the place is really beautiful. Photos from the reception bar are amazing, the beach and pool are nice and the food (now they have 4 restaurants) is really amazing! Hotel buffets are sometimes boring, but at Marinedda chefs are really creative. The A la carte restaurant and the one you pay 12,50EUR extra when you have HB are also great. Beach service is paid, but you can walk to the next beach which is also ok. I would definitely recommend visiting Costa Esmeralda and Archipelago Maddalena. Our second time and we had a lovely stay.

Relaxing Stay

Nice, comfortable hotel with good facilities and friendly helpful service. The food was excellent. Could do with more loungers around the pools or stricter management of unused "reserved" loungers.

Reasonable Hotel

We stayed here for 12 nights as part of our honeymoon. They didn't really make an effort to help us celebrate our honeymoon or acknowledge it (We had email dialogue with hotel in advance), unlike some other hotels that we stayed at on our trip. To be fair to them they did offer some half days in the spa which we didn't take up due to being disappointed with the spa, the general quality and what we felt was restricted opening times (9 to 1 & 3 to 8 - same for gym). On arrival they allocated room 502, which was very dark and the bedroom has one very small window and simply wasn't acceptable for the amount of money that we had paid. The hotel was good about sorting it out but I still had to pay an upgrade to a room which was far superior (including seaview) which we felt should of been the minimum standard for the amount of money that we paid. Everything was extra at the hotel including the use of the basic spa, the gym (no weights, no AC and no Fans), the sunbeds on the beach. On the positive side, we generally felt that the dinner was good, with fantastic service from the majority of the staff, the location was very close to the beach and quiet. The location was a positive and a negative, good if you want to sit on the beach / by the pool and do nothing all day and evening but not great if you want to something more to do. In general it is a good hotel but very expensive when compared to other locations in Europe

Had an excellent stay here - location, food, staff and hotel was excellent all round. We had a room with a brilliant view! Downside wifi only available in reception and took a while to get on. Would recommend this hotel.

Looks value for money, but lots of extras to pay

I was disappointed with this hotel. Although it advertises its SPA facilities, you can only use the internal pools and gym for an extra 30 euro per person for each half day. The hotel's beach chairs also have to be paid for. Another dissapointment was the fact that you can't have two hot showers in a row, as the boiler is too small. No internet except in reception and you have to get a code to renew every 30 minutes.

Away without kids

We arrived at the hotel without kids for the first time in 20 years with trepidation but were surprised by the charming and friendly nature of every single person at the hotel. Every request was attended to speedily and with a smile. My wife is gluten free and tho we stayed half board, every effort was made to accommodate her needs in a caring way. The whole place had a lovely feel. Go for it and thank you to all concerned

Nice Relaxing Break - Amazing Food

Hotel Marinedda provided a fantastic venue for a relaxing weeks break. The highlight of the hotel has to be the food. The a la carte restaurant provided some of the finest food we had all trip. The location is very remote and despite the hotel offering a transfer on hotels.com it turns out it would cost 210€ so renting a car is advisable. This allowed us to go on day trips to La Pelosa and Alghero. The hotel is very pleasant to walk around and we were more than happy to spend a few days doing nothing but hang around the hotel's pool and bar. Would fully recommend.

Great location and hotel.

We had a fantastic time on the island and at this hotel. It was a very relaxing holiday with great food and very friendly staff.The whole environment in the hotel is amazingly natural and suitable for all age groups from single young people,big families to older travellers. The spa was a lovely experience with friendly and professional staff. The excursion to the north west coast, was very interesting and nicely organised by the guide (Lauren). |We would definitely come back to this hotel in the future and recommend it to our friends.

Great family hotel

This is a big resort hotel. We had 2 suites - small bedrooms but larger living rooms with two sofas which could also be made up to bed so my teenage sons didnt have to share the double in their room. Sardinia is beautiful and great fun, just avoid the v expensive bit on costa smeralda, everyone is so friendly, service is great and prices are fine. Be prepared to pay for sunbeds on the beach and all soft drinks E3 in the hotel (same price as a local beer). Ate in buffet ( to suit teenage sons!) but food v good, lots of local fish and seafood. Would recommend.

Hotel Marinedda

A week by the sea in the sun with great food. It can feel a bit like Butlin's at the buffet but the range, quality and quantity of the dinner buffet were really great. There is an alternative waiter restaurant but it isn't as much fun. Really good, friendly & helpful staff. We spent most days on the beach, sun beds under an umbrella, toasting gently and this was late September. If this is not what you want to do you would need a car but for 6/7 days the hotel has what you need, 2 pools with lots of free beds and umbrellas. Italian, French and German as well as English guests. We used the Hotel transfer to & from Olbia airport as it was the cheapest we could find. We would go again like a shot but had too many desserts and wonderful Sardinian wines all in the name of curiosity.

Very Relaxing

I wouldn't normally stay at one of these resort type places - I'm a bit put off by the idea of what effect its having on the rest of the town's tourist industry, that said, I had such a lovely time here, my head has been turned. The accomodation is spread over the resort like a village and you have a nice little wander to go wherever you're going, so not just up and down in an elevator, plus there are plenty of chauffer driven golf carts going around for when you're just too tired. The resort is well planted with palms, reeds as well as flowering plants and has a well looked after feel. The half board service is either al a carte or buffett, all Italian or local food and of a very high standard, we tried both - the al a carte wins but the buffett is fair too and there's a reasonablly priced snack bar for panini lunchs (soft drink prices a bit too high if your thirsty). The service of all the staff was very good, friendly and natural feeling, we were impressed by the level of English spoken in the restaurants and by the English, German and French at reception. We went in after the school holidays so enjoyed a very peaceful stay and it felt altogether like a more expensive couples retreat but I can imagine it'd different with kids around. The resort is right on the sand beach too - wonderful for swimming and sunbathing, with no yachts to oil up the water - also meaning that there is plenty of room around the pool if you'd prefer that one day out of the week and it's a 5 minute drive from the town - for gift shops and such.There is a bit #animation# as the Germans call it, but when we were there it was also very good - a band with a violin doing simon and garfunkle covers was cute. We were impressed to see the manager helping out with getting guests and their luggage to their rooms when a travel company bus showed up while independant guests were checking in and he seemed to have a good rapport with the staff (always a good sign). The only thing - and we already put this in the feedback form - was that it would be nice to preorder the extra mattress for comfort - the beds are too hard and we loaded the beds with blankets on the first night to get over this because the mattress can only be added in the morning by the room assistants . Also, the tea and coffee things in the room don't include milk and the brits tend to have to remember to call in at the cocktail bar on the way home from dinner to get a jug of fresh for the morning. But all in all, whenever we ventured out sight seeing or into town, we were laughing at how nice it was to come back to the security and ease of Mariendda resort, very welcoming and relaxing experience.

Hotel Marinedda - or resort Marinedda

We had a great stay at the Marinedda, service, food, rooms and location were great. The only thing I wasn't aware of when I booked it is that it is more like a little village than a hotel. The rooms are spread out over nice maintained area. In fact this was great, but when booking a 'suite' I had slightly different expectation and was surprised (positive in the end) when we arrived.

A great hotel in a most attractive location.

A first class hotel, well worthy of its 4S star rating. The food is excellent, even in the main buffet style restaurant, but with two other table service restaurants normally available. Regrettably one was closed during our stay due to inclement weather. The staff were particularly helpful, and all areas of the hotel were kept spotlessly clean. Isola Rossa is small with a couple of supermarkets, and a few bars and restaurants,but well worth the short walk over the headland. Whilst the hotel is a great place to chill out and soak up the Sardinian sun dont overlook the mountains a short drive inland and the town of Tempio Pausania

Isola Rossa Hotel

The Hotel Marinedda provided a relaxing escape. My boyfriend and I arrived in the second week of May so the hotel was quiet and the nearby beach was isolated. The hotel website gave an extremely accurate view of the grounds and restaurants so look at that. The staff were extremely friendly, our room was very clean and the whole place was peaceful. Food wise, the evening buffet was varied, tasty and plentiful though by the end of the week it was a relief to use the hotel table service restaurant at no extra cost. My only criticism is that because the hotel was not really near anything, the evenings did feel a little isolated at times, so if you prefer lively surroundings this place probably is not for you. Also, it is preferable to have a car to drive to the nearest restaurants and shops in the evening as the 10-15 minute walk is along a road with no sidewalk.

Spitze Hotel

Service ist top so wie die Kellner. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Getränke sind etwas teuer aber sehr lecker und qualitativ. Man sollte vor dem einchecken anrufen ob sie ein vom flughafen abholen. Kostet 115€. Mit Taxi 125 aber nur wenn ihr keinen Abzocker zum Opfer fällt. Mietet euch ein motorrad, der ausflug lohnt sich.

Tolles Hotel im Norden Sardiniens

Wir waren zwei Tage im Marrinedda bei unserer Sardinienrundreise. Ein Highlight ! Ausstattung im Sardischen Stil, grosse komfortable Zimmer, Blick uebers Meer, ausgezeichnetes Essen. Weinservice aber langsam und wenig hilfreich bei der Auswahl, die Weinpreise dafuer etwas hoch.

Wunderschönes Hotel direkt am Meer

Wir waren eine Woche im Hotel und hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Zimmer komfortabel, das Essen schmeckt und die Anlage liegt schön, fast direkt am Meer, ein Weg führt zum Strand. Einziges Manko: der Föhn im Zimmer ist zu schwach, würde ich nächstes Mal einen mitnehmen! Ein Tipp: auf jeden Fall Mietwagen nehmen, da Hotel doch eher abgelegen, außerdem gibt es viele schöne Orte zu entdecken.
