Host interaction: we arrived during a snow fall and the cleaners had not made it to the unit; the host called to ask what time we were arriving (it was after check-in) and I said our eta was 2 minutes. She said the cleaning crew would be gone by then. They arrived just after we entered the unit. I called the host who said that’s what she told me. I said that if she had told us, we would have stopped at the village instead of trudging up to the unit in the snow. I asked to be comped. She said that’s what she had offered and that we could go to the village and eat dinner (she’d cover it but “no alcohol”). I said we should we comped on the App — we haven’t been. We left the things we’d carried in including a water bottle on the kitchen counter and a cheese/fruit tray in the fridge and trudged through the snow to drive to the village until the cleaners were done. When we returned, we couldn’t find the water bottle (found the next day emptied and stored with the saucepans) and cheese tray (we were later comped for this thru Vacasa). The cleaners had also left dirty towels in the kids bathroom which we reported but was not addressed. None of this is the cleaners fault - if the host had told us the unit still needed to be cleaned and if we could go to the village and wait, we would have done so instead of driving to the unit and bringing our things inside during a snow storm and having to leave afterwards.Amenities: not allowed to use fireplace; master other side of frontdoor (cold
