The absolute worst stay of life; no security with broken door locks for many days, electric overloaded daily so that the choice had to be to cook or stay warm w a wirking heater, and accept that the tv wd shut off sometimes; all with no option to reset a breaker except by a manager (not maintenence staff) and no emergency on call maintenance. When the power went out on a Friday evening we were told it may be Monday until the breaker could be flipped back on. The entire new digital lock and door knob had to be replaced because even the physical key as backup would not work. There was no way to lock the condo door from the outside when leaving. We also requested a rod to secure patio door because there wasn't one even with adjoining balconies. When we expressed our concern about our safety and our security of our things especially due to one person having disabilities, two very well meaning maintenence staff tried to reassure us that nothing bad ever happens there, and we would be safe. We appreciate the reassurance but have been broken into before in nice neighborhoods. After many days there was still no offer to relocate/refund our stay. More problems; no bathtub stopper, cable malfunctions, all onsite restaurants were closed after being told they wd be open, elevator inoperable during checkout which, if was scheduled maintenence, was awful timing for disabled person. The only positive was the kind onsite staff. VRBO/Vacasa/Owners shld communicate & refund, but nothng yet.

Get a new one, the battery cover is missing. The instruction for HDMI3? MAKE A LABEL WITH A LABEL MAKER SO GUESTS CAN SEE. Don't use the bandaid process. IF I didn't have my own cable we would have been lost. It is apparent this is a problem based on that silly tape with the HDMI instruction on itI'm a winter guest usually. I love Northstar. Physical issues not taken care of. One bed frame not connected to headboardLight over that bed won't work, switch broken. No batteries available for remote that wouldn't work. Could use guide for tv/cable. Parking passes broken. Clearer instructions for the building name, and parking site (site is unit number)-include with final check-in instructions. Repair hole in carpet, the throw rug over it is actually dangerous, it bunches up too easily. Was cute and clean but details matter...

We did not use the recreational facilities as we stayed only overnight for an event. Price was high for the quality of furnishings in the room, maybe would have been ok if you used the pool or hiked. Restaurants were close. Stargazing was epic and the balcony was appreciated.

Overall for price it was great. However, one of the beds was broken, shower sprayed all over the bathroom and the TV was difficult to figure out. Location was optimal but most of the shops/stores/restaurants and pool all close early because of the lack of business. I think just a slight upgrade of the room because it seemed dated would help and you could probably charge more. Otherwise, we got what we payed for...

Convenient location and reasonable price, but parking rules could be better

My only major objection is that we were not allowed to remain in the unit’s designated parking space after the 11:00 am checkout time. So because we wanted to ski until the afternoon of checkout day, we were required to move the car to a paid parking spot.

Terrific Location

Great location between Lake Tahoe and Truckee and many golf courses in between. Precise instructions on where to park your car, but few on how to find the unit. It took me a half hour of wandering around to find the place. What check-in process? There is none. Also, no TV users instructions.

Fees should be disclosed and Parking is a partial problem

VRBO and Vacasa both charge fees on this property (reservation vs. management) need to disclose all the fees upfront. You don't see them all until checkout and it feels like a bait and switch. Property is in a good location. It's a simple room, but good for a ski weekend. Except for the parking situation I would recommend it. On the day you check out you must move your car (far away or pay for premium parking closer). This negates the advantage of being so close to the slopes - especially if you only stay for one night. Other properties in this building allow you check out in the morning and to park in the spot until 4pm so you can ski all day. This one does not. Vacasa said this is policy, but I did not experience this at other Timber Creek properties this season. This made the location less attractive.

Great location

Right in the village, easy access to lifts/bars/restaurants. Room is small and dated, some wear and tear, definitely better places to stay in the area. Not bad though.

No frills room in the heart of the Village

Our family stayed here for a quick getaway to Northstar for skiing. The two queen beds were fine for our family. One annoyance was that we wanted to ski on our checkout date but needed to return the parking pass by 11am, requiring us to repark the car. The room was centrally located and included some dishes, small fridge and microwave so we could make a quick breakfast before heading to the slopes.

No luxury but convenient with perks

A small, studio with 2 queen (comfortable) beds. Forget about preparing any food, quarters too tight although it does have a small frog. If your out and about and only there to sleep, it will do. However, the cable box wasn't working so no TV although they were to replace on day we left and the DVD only plays in black and white. It does provide you with a good parking place and use of the recreation center, which is very nice and is located right in the village so no need to drive anywhere.

Horrible !!

This is a terrible unit do not book it! Curtains falling off rods, old smelly bedding and the water dispenser in sink bubbles and makes loud noises waking u up in the middle of the night. Owner needs to freshen this place up. Complained to leasing agent with no response or apology in return. I am disappointed to have found a place like this on VRBO. Needs to be better screening implemented. NEGATIVE stars for this one folks.

Clean unit in heart of the village

You can't beat this place for price and location! Right in the village, lots of restaurants, very short walk by breakfast spots and ski rental shop to the Gondola. Was clean, has small closet for skis and deck looking over village walkway.

Great location, a lot smaller than the picture portrays

Location here is key since you really can't beet being IN the village. Having said that, this is not much more than a hotel room with a kitchenette. It's what we needed so no complaints. The only problem we experienced was that the parking pass was missing. We called the renter and they promised to get us a replacement, but it never came.

No fills genuine place to stay in the village

I had a great time staying in Northstar. The condo is very convient and just steps away from the gondola. The showers are always hot with perfect water pressure and the bed is comfortable. What else do you need on a ski trip? As long as your not picky about living in luxury then this place is one of the most affordable options in the heart of Northstar.

Not well maintained

When we arrived the smoke alarm battery was dead so the alarm was chirping and the shower didn't work. Water trickled out around the head but no water came through the the head. I called about both issues but got no response. I just took the batteries out of the smoke detector - not so safe but at least we could sleep. I paid for a late checkout specifically so my son could shower after a long day biking but, despite my calls, the shower wasn't fixed. I was contacted after the stay and explained my problems in an email but heard nothing back. Also, the instructions for arrival are really bad. They tell you where to park but not how to find the actual unit and it isn't at all obvious. I wouldn't stay here again and I'd avoid Vacasa properties in general - they're really unresponsive.
