I really liked this hotel. nice people, very clean. Pop Tarts were a surprise, but different. Oatmeal was good too. Nice outside area, surprisingly quiet.

Unique vibe, friendly people

I stayed at Hotel McCoy for a 3 day visit to Tucson at the recommendation of a friend. I was impressed by the hospitality, unique art and an atmosphere designed to bring people together. We arrived to live music in the lobby and very friendly staff. The room was small but clean. Good value for the price paid. The heated pool was clean and cabana area colorful. The oatmeal bar was fantastic… I had no idea oatmeal could be so good. I loved that the staff put games out to encourage travelers to socialize. The location was convenient for hiking in Saguaro NP, Catalina SP and Sabino Canyon. When I return to Tucson I will definitely stay at Hotel McCoy again.

FILTHY, way too small. Management NON RESPONSIVE. I emailed them about issues and got absolutely no reply whatsoever. Left sneakers in my room by accident and they were promptly stolen. Woman at front desk when checking in was covertly hostile, zero customer service skill, acted like it was a privilege that she existed. Fridge in room broken and ran super loud until we figured it out and unplugged it. NO housekeeping without 48 hour notice of request to clean your room. This was the most awful hotel experience I have ever had. This place's "stellar" ratings are like the "virtue signaling, pity" votes doled out on AGT for people who have a good, sad story, but who aren't as talented as other candidates, but it feels good to see them win anyways...people have given this place UNDO high ratings because they are art-friendly, trendy, progressive and say all the right things according to the current narrative in society. Spend your money elsewhere, you won't regret it, but you might regret it if you believe the ratings and you disagree that this place and these people are fabulous because they will make you pay for disagreeing that they are wonderful.

I love motels. I love being able to drive up to your room door and unload. This is my all time favorite motel. The room was super clean, the staff, especially Allysa, Senia and housekeeping, were very friendly and accommodating and the oatmeal breakfast bar, was the best!!

It’s a good place for a night or two. The freeway noise is very loud and we could hear a lot from the adjoining room. Staff were friendly. The location is pretty central but not at all walkable. The cleanliness was not good as the floor and carpet were very dirty and obviously hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It was an okay experience but not one that I would repeat.

Excellent little oasis

Fantastic place. Very cool vibe with friendly people and interesting art work. It’s a little far from other stuff (restaurants, etc) but that is a small matter compared to the value of this place. 5 stars.
