Great location with beautiful view over the Danube, rich and varied breakfast. One only thing: the pillows were too hard; we could have asked for replacements but for two nights we thought it’s not worth.

The hotel is probably the best option in the city of otherwise poor options. Everything works well, without standing out. What does stand out is the view from the upper floors over the Danube. All in all a good option for anyone on business. Breakfast is just sufficient (hot, cold options and some drinks).

Easy check-in and check-out, the hotel offers free onsite parking and the breakfast buffet is wonderful. Hotel is central, offers great views of the Danube river and allows you to walk to restaurants, bars and pubs of the city center.

Very nice

Very nice stay at Vega Hotel. The suite vas very clean and the breakfast was so good. The view over the Danube river is very beautiful. Definitely I will come back there.

This hotel doesn't have any king bed !they only have queen size and sell it as king bed ! The dimensions are 1.60X200 cm ! When hotel called they refused to tell the size and keep saying is the biggest they have ! The AC doesn t work properly. No matter how u set it up the temperature doesn't change ! Is only 26 Celsius! Because of short stay and the hot temperatures couldn't move but definitely not recommended the property! Always check the minibar when u check in and take pictures ! They had sealed bottles and inside was something else the vodka was sealed and after they were trying to say is a different brand ! When checked out everything was set and counted ! House keeping checked after 30 min they tried to bring other bottles stating is different brand and whiskey was sealed ! The housekeeper manage to open it without breaking the seal and said that people who come to their property do that !!! First of all minibar should be sealed and trying to milk people out of money is wrong plus lying that i will get a king bed is unacceptable! After eating at restaurant had stomach buy and feeling sick for days ! Not sure if they do the same with food and don't know the regulations but don t think is safe to eat and stay tbere ! Never again ! Never had any issues in my life with a hotel that is messing with minibar !

The hotel was clean and modern and the staff were very friendly. We liked the location with the view of the Danube River. The beds are too firm for a good night sleep. The dinner meal at the restaurant was over cooked and the waitress brought me the wrong entree. The breakfast was not to our liking either. The hot items were cold and the fruit looked over ripe. On our next stay in Galati we are considering using a different hotel.

Better option for the city

Mediocre experience

Staff needs more customer service training. every morning when I come to the lobby, I acknowledged them before they would even say hello to me. did not thank me for staying with them during check in or check out. After checking out, their response was "You're good, you can go". Couple of lights weren't working in my suite, house cleaning did not clear the balcony ashtray during my entire stay. A very mediocre experience, will try another hotel next time.

Good location, close to the river and restaurants.

I spent 4 nights in the hotel while attending a wedding at the same venue. There's a lot of noise from the weddings, which may make it difficult for other guests to sleep. It's reasonable quality and clean. Mattress was a little hard. The gym is severely lacking, but there is a nice running track close along the river. Staff are pleasant and speak very good English. Georgiana, the bartender was really pleasant and a wealth of knowledge on local customs and things to see.

Great Hotel, Clean and great staff

We stayed at this hotel on a business trip. The hotel was one of the best on our long trip, very clean rooms and helpful staff. The wifi was weak so it was a little difficult to do some work, but overall a really nice hotel. I plan to stay here often when I return for business and would recommend to others.

In My Friends Home Town

Well I pick this Hotel Because of the Possible of Taking their River Cruise....Well it Rain That Whole Day so It Did NOT happen... I can't Say Much about This Hotel as I Only Slept Here One Night...a very Good Nights Sleep on the Comfy Full Size Bed and Got Up Early to Drive 3 Hours To OTP Airport in Bucharest...My Room was Cool it had View that Over Look the Dunarea (Danube) River... the Hotel Had I Security House That Had someone in it that watches over the parking Lot. Not Sure Why But Made MEE Feel Good about Leaving Some Stuff in My Rental Car So I Didn't Have to Totally Drag in all my Luggage for Just the one Night :)
