I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Tulum. Such a beautiful hotel and kind staff. The location is really nice for a calm scene. Ivy, Max and Claudio always greeted us with a smile and helped us with any accommodations. I booked the room with the private pool and was so happy I did. The pools they have are also very nice but the private pool was a nice amenity to have.

Ivy at the front desk was exceptionally nice and gave us recommendations on things to do and places to eat in Tulum. Additionally, Max was fun to talk to and super helpful with any questions that we had. Even though my friend and I speak Spanish, all of the hotel staff seemed to be pretty bilingual and able to communicate in English if needed. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on that, but the food at the Copal Bistro Restaurant (the one in the hotel) was really good. The pasta and salmon that we ordered were excellent. A little bit on the pricier side, but good food, nonetheless. The hotel was clean and room service changed our sheets every day and cleaned the bathroom and emptied the trash. No complaints there. Even though we didn’t use it, the room came with pans to cook in, plates, glasses, knives, forks, spoons, toaster, and most things needed to cook. If I ever go back to Tulum, I would definitely stay there again and would recommend others to stay there.

I couldn’t say enough good things about this property. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every single day we were there. Outside area: Beautiful and jungle like around the pool, restaurant and rooms. So well maintained. Gym: perfect little fitness studio with a treadmill, elliptical, free weights and a machine for pulls. Pools: 2 main pools - rooftop or the main pool which is long enough to swim laps if desired. Room: our studio with private pool was amazing. Excellent working a/c and fans, comfortable big bed, full kitchen facilities (dishes, pots, pans, etc) and table to eat at, living room with comfy couch and smart TV, big closet with drawers and a bathroom with good water pressure and temperature control. Service: the staff are super friendly and helpful and they do an amazing job of assisting at reception or cleaning the rooms. Extras: bike rental available for extra charge, towels for the pool or to take to the beach, spa services if desired and cold fruit water always available in reception. Area of Tulum: we thought it was ideal. Right between the beach and Tulum Town. It’s in a quiet area away from heavy traffic and has lots of stores within bike or walking distance. If I came back to Tulum, I’d for sure stay here again without hesitation.

BEWARE!! Mold!! The room smelled of a mildew stench, they offered us another room but we left the hotel. Then refused to give us a refund. Deplorable behavior and I will leave reviews on every platform I can find. They were completely friendly as we chose to leave the hotel and then withheld our money. They refused to give it back to the travel website. Sickening. DO NOT BOOK.

Very big and comfortable and pretty as seen in the pictures. Probably the most comfortable hotel we lived during this trip. It’s in an hotel area which is not so convenient if you want to shop around. But I feel there are enough things to do here for relaxing. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel and both are good but a bit pricy. The spa service is very good but also for a price. There are more good places to eat if you don’t mind walking around. It is true some of the roads nearby are terrible. But most of the roads are fine and this area feels very safe. Take your time if you drive here and the gps leads you to somewhere with bad road. There are normally other ways to avoid those bad roads. The private pool is not heat up so think about it when it’s not too hot. They don’t have free breakfast so we bought some bread and eggs and cook our own. They have full kitchen space which is very convenient in this case

We been going there almost once a month, if not more for years. You would think people we absolutely remember and recognize would treat us better. We have a mediocre service. Where they one a tip for just opening the door… They started to kick us out exactly at 12;00 where we actually had another day stay (which, no matter how many years we been loyal to Copal, would not refund, as we booked the wrong day). The mattresses and linens were great, now they have been changed. My husband and I woke up with out backs hurting.

This was the best vacation I’ve had. The stay at the hotel was more than I expected the food was amazing the staff were beyond helpful generous and genuine. I had absolutely no problems nor did I had to wait for anything. The guys at the desk got me anything I asked for. They did an amazing surprise breakfast for my wife. Decorated the room with professional structures made of ballons, chocolate strawberries, roses and a dinner in the most amazing new location . The restaurant servers went out of their way to ensure my wife and I had halal steak for her birthday dinner, getting us extra items from different restaurants to combine into one big meal. The place is absolutely gorgeous the scenery from the appartment was amazing . The pools were well kept, temperature was cool and refreshing walking around under all the trees, their cats were super friendly and loving, room service was great. Copal in Tulum is probably the best hotel for me. I wouldn’t go anywhere else honestly. I felt safe and everyone treated me like they were my best friend. Never told me no . The guys at the check in did way more for me than they needed to . It was absolutely perfect .
