I had horrible experience with the airport shuttle bus service because I was not notified it ends at 11:15pm everyday.
I landed at HKG airport at 11:15pm on Jan 19, 2025 after about 25 hours air-travel from US. After exit the airport, I waited at the airport shuttle bus stop for almost 45 minutes. I sent a message per Expedia to the hotel service team, but didn't get response. Then I went back to HKG airport service desk, called hotel front desk and was told that no more shuttle bus service after 11:15pm. I explained that timetable was not specified in it's service at Expedia. Furthermore, that shuttle bus service was a key factor for my booking to this hotel. The hotel manager declined my request on phone for a shuttle bus pickup service and asked to take taxi instead.
After the call, I went outside waiting in line for airport taxi stand. Roughly 40 minutes later, it turned out that HKG airport taxi doesn't accept US credit cards, nor Apple Pay and Google Pay, only HK dollars
With no HK dollars with me, I went back inside HKG airport again and got enough cash for taxi ride.
Finally I arrived at the hotel and checked in after 2am, over 3 hours after my landing to the hotel which is 6 mins bus/taxi ride-away. Even the facility and crew were nice, but after all 3-hours turmoils figuring out the way to the Hotel due to the false advertisement on Expdia, I only felt extremely exhausted and frustrated.
I'm very disappointed with the shuttle bus mishaps and requst full refund
