The Space:
Scenic Views is a lodge consisting of a kitchen/diner with dining seating, breakfast bar, TV, two electric ovens, gas hob, microwave, air fryer, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster, and a sitting room with TV and Juliet balcony. The bedrooms consist of two king sizes, one has an en-suite. There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, and WC. Outside, there is a private balcony with furniture and off-road parking for one car. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. You can find a shop in 2 miles and a pub in 1.4 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Enjoy a refreshing break with your loved ones at 40 Kingwood Forest Park. This property has a 3 night minimum stay; from 26th June the preferred changeover day for weekly bookings is Thursday. Children over 12 and babes in arms only accepted. This property has a good housekeeping bond of GBP150.
The Neighborhood:
The small rural North Devon village of High Bickington is set in the area known as 'Tarka country'. On a ridge above the Taw Valley boasting views towards Exmoor and Dartmoor, the village offers a Post Office, two pubs, a holistic beauty salon and Libbaton golf course. The small village of Umberleigh is only five miles away and has a railway station where trains run on the Tarka Line to Barnstaple or Exeter. Within driving distance is the historic town of Great Torrington, where you will find independent shops and Dartington glassworks where visitors can watch in wonder at the glassblowers, plus on the outskirts of town is Rosemoor, a garden of national importance with forty acres to delight and inspire a wide range of visitors. This area of North Devon has something for everyone including country walks, fishing and golf, as well as good access to a selection of wonderful beaches.
