The Blue House is wonderful. The owners live next door and do everything to make your stay memorable, it is easy to communicate with them. Great location, right near a new 5 mi walk along the ocean. Plenty of space for everyone, clean fully equipped kitchen with a patio outside. Great ocean views from windows and balcony on a second floor. Good parking. Check the address with the owners before going as Vrbo supplies wrong address.

For a hostel experience this place was outstanding. Clean, everything like brand new, good check-in experience, communication responsive, and centrally located. On a bus route, tho' I recommend renting a car if possible as everything on Pico Is. is more accessible if you have your own transportation. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone! especially solo travelers like myself.

This was a no-frills, simple hotel. It was a great value, and was clean, quiet, and relaxing. The staff were so kind, and laid back. The view from the patio in our room was lovely. The shared kitchen area was a nice place to cook a meal, and there were three adorable cats around the property who we loved petting. The location was great for exploring various parts of Pico.

Place is pretty beat up and could use some maintenence for sure. Oh, and the fire alarm was going off for a solid 3 hours in the middle of the night which made it pretty tough to sleep. Otherwise not too shabby.

Friendly staff. Owner lives on property. Fully equipped common kitchen including living dining room. Perfect place to recharge!
