I am not one to write bad reviews. I understand small business. But I do think that if I had been able to see reviews on this property, I would have had a better idea. This property was a new listing. When I booked the property, I noticed the window unit Air conditioning, so I messaged and asked about that. Being from Texas, AC is a must! Communication with the host was not prompt. Eventually they got back with me and said they did not have a central AC but they did have window units. Ok. When we arrived at the property, The house was VERY hot and there were NO window units. The house is advertised as being on a few acres, nice and private. When I received the check- in information, 10 minutes before 4pm, I was notified to not disturb the tenant, living in the separate garage apartment. And to only park in front of the house. We also shared the laundry room with tenant. Being that we were there for our son’s wedding, with a house full of family, we could not just up and leave. We had to go buy window units to keep everyone comfortable. The house was not very clean. And there was a terrible ant problem. Nothing could be left on the counters in the kitchen. Some dishes were dirty and slimy in the cabinet. The kitchen was not well equipped. The master bdrm sliding door did not lock. We had to put a piece of wood down to “lock” it. The towels provided were cheap microfiber and there were not enough washcloths or dish towels for the number of people. Very Disappointing
