Welcome to The Oak at Buena Vista Bluffs in Mentone. We are located on the Brow of Lookout Mountain in a very secluded area. You'll love the sun rise, sunset, & stars. There are three units at this property if you need more room to spread out! We'd love to host you!
The space
The Oak is a spacious upscale studio apartment with a comfy queen bed and a kitchenette. There is a private screened in porch for you to sit and relax on while you soak in the gorgeous view of the surrounding trees and abundant nature!
Guest access
You’ll have the entire studio apartment to yourself. The only shared area is the parking area and our guests share a grill.
During your stay
I may not be there to greet you in person but am available for anything you need. I prefer to communicate through the app whenever possible.

This place is PERFECT! Absolutely beautiful & so clean! It looks exactly like the pictures. We love the location & the setting in the woods is just lovely & absolutely ideal for a quiet, romantic getaway. Mentone is a charming little town, and we will be going back very soon!

I really enjoyed my stay! The only two things I had an issue with is the sheets and covers smelled really bad like they weren't washed. My husband had to buy something to spray it down really well so we could get through it! The people upstairs were so soooooo loud after hours it woke me up! I found it the owner daughter family were staying their. I would have enjoyed my nights a little better. Overall the peace you get their is everything! We will be back!

We originally booked a different unit but switched to the top floor (Whispering Pines), and it was definitely the right call. The screened-in porch had a great view—perfect for morning coffee, deep thoughts, and pretending we’re outdoorsy. The host was super responsive, even when a storm (with possible tornadoes!) was predicted. They offered to move us to a lower floor for peace of mind, but the apartment felt sturdy, so we stayed put and enjoyed the view while the weather did its thing. Brow Park and DeSoto Falls were close by, making it easy to get out and explore before retreating back to our peaceful little hideaway. It was a great spot for my husband’s birthday, and we’d definitely stay again!

Roaming Mentone

We enjoy going to Mentone in the fall. We usually take our camper to Desoto State Park. This year we decide to get a cabin and we were not disappointed. This was a lovely spot with beautiful woods all around. Lorene and her team are super!

Close to Mentone

We enjoyed our stay at The Oak. It was well appointed with everything we needed. The bed is like sleeping on a super soft pillow. If there are children staying above you, excited about being on vacation, you will certainly know it from the jumping and running. Parking is adequate assuming everyone follows the parking instructions.

Lorraine was so helpful and excellent. When there was misunderstanding which room we had. She gave us the bigger property with hardly anything ore out of pocket. We plan on staying again and regularly. Loved the location.
