Gîte Les 7 Frênes-The warmth of wood and stone for an authentic stay

Ideal for a few days with the family, to visit the sites of memory, for the sport in the forest, to rest or simply, a step during a long trip.

Located in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, in the Natural Park of Haute-Sûre and Forêt d'Anlier. Very close to tourist sites and centers of memory (Bastogne, Saint Hubert, Bouillon, Luxembourg ...)

The cottage is the first floor of an old farmhouse 4 stone facades with its individual entrance, private garden, parking and balcony. The owner's pool is accessible.

It consists of a living room with tv / dvd, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (a double room with a double bed and a room for 4 people with twin beds and bunk beds) and baby cots on request, a bathroom with spacious shower and sink, separate toilet, a games room or cocoon rest, a laundry room with washing machine / dryer. The garden has a playground for children, a barbecue, a picnic table and a brazero.

You will find there the calm of the small Ardennes village, the proximity of the forest and its walks, a center of well-being in the village, also the proximity of the shops and tourist centers.

Awesome place! Enjoyed the evening watching the coutry side. Do yourself a favor and move the black two seaters 5 meters down the sidewalk and enjoy the view, the cats and the cows. Highly recommended

Short stay near Bastogne

Quaint, clean and cozy. Quiet area in the country, surrounded by farms. Kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable. Supermarket is a short distance away, and the sites in Bastogne are also a quick drive.

Cozy gite with lovely owners in a rural setting.

The gite was cozy and warm. It had a nice yard with some games for children and a barbecue.There is a play room for children that is on a different floor. The owners were extremely kind, they received us with bread, fruit and beer and were very tolerant of us losing the keys and leaving things behind. Close to Luxembourg and to lovely belgium towns such as bouillon and la roche en ardennes. We thought the area was beautiful, close to lots of farms and forests.

Thank you so much to you both for hosting us! The extra effort was truly appreciated! Homemade bread and jam, local butter, beer and fruit were amazing. All the extras in and out of the house were appreciated (wood for fire, charcoal, tinfoil, soap, etc). Place was clean, cool and convenient.

Very nice apartment, wonderful host

The cottage was warm and inviting, with plenty of room for my brother, my son, and me during our recent stay. A good blend of private and shared spaces. The location was convenient to the places we wanted to see: The Bastogne War Museum (at Clairette's recommendation) and other sites associated with the Ardennes campaign during World War II, including the Hurtgenwald in Germany. The highlight of our stay, however, was our host, Clairette, and her family. From the fresh-baked bread and the local beer Clairette provided to welcome us to her helpfulness with my temporary disability (I had broken my ankle shortly before we arrived), she exceeded our expectations.

Ideal rural family gite

Such welcoming, thoughtful and generous hosts awaited us on arrival. The gite was lovely and clean with a well equipped kitchen which made it easy to cook for a family of 5. We all enjoyed the pool after a day out (20-22°C - acceptable for a non heated pool). The children made good use of the climbing frame and play room which was packed with toys. Would definitely recommend this gite to visit Grotte de Han, Bouillon Castle, Rochefort, Houffalize, Luxembourg and for cycling.

We were very happy with our stay. Beds were comfortable, plenty of room, had everything we needed in kitchen and good location for visiting WWII sites. When we arrived there was fresh bread, butter, fruit, and a bottle of beer for us. It was just what we wanted and the price was great.

If you happen to have children and you need a place in this area, then look no further. This is the right place. Liebe Clairette und Jean-Marie! Wir möchten uns von ganzem Herzen für die wundervolle Zeit bedanken, die wir in Eurem Haus verbracht haben. Es war für uns eine unvergessliche Erfahrung, wie herzlich Sie uns empfangen und betreut haben. Die Möglichkeit, die süßen Katzen mit ihren Kätzchen kennenzulernen, hat unseren Aufenthalt noch besonderer gemacht. Unsere Kinder werden gerade die Katzen nicht vergessen und sie vielleicht sogar sehr vermissen. Die selbstgemachte Marmelade war sehr lecker und wird uns in Erinnerung bleiben. Nochmals vielen Dank für Eure Gastfreundschaft und die unvergesslichen Momente. Wir hoffen, mal wieder die Gelegenheit zu haben, Euch besuchen zu können und weitere schöne Erinnerungen zu schaffen. Très agréable malgré le mauvais temps

Bel environnement à la campagne proche de plusieurs villes intéressantes et surtout beau gîte avec cuisine bien équipée et, cerise sur le gâteau, une salle de jeux bien achalandée. Le jardin est pourvu de balançoires et d'un toboggan. La piscine, peu profonde est bien sécurisée. A recommander pour des familles avec jeunes enfants aimant les visites et les balades dans les champs. Propriétaires charmants.

Gîte très sympathique dans une superbe région

Nous venons de passer quinze très chouettes journées malgré le temps dans ce très chouette gîte. La région est très belle et remplie d'activités à réaliser... si vous aimez la nature, la région sera parfaite pour vous. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement sympathique et très disponible en cas de besoin ou question tout en étant pas du tout envahissants. Les enfants ont adoré le nombre d'animaux sur place, quel bonheur pour eux de pouvoir les cajoler durant le sejour. Je recommande vivement ce logement et cette région à toute personne aimant être au cœur de la nature. Merci encore pour ce beau séjour.
