From Bangalore, it is < 300 KMs by road, and if you beat the rush hour traffic, could make it in around 5 hours. The road cuts across two wild life sanctuaries, namely Bandipur on the Karnataka side and Muthanga in Kerala. On most days, you could sight herds of elephants, deers and various other wild life.
