Located in the north of the city, the uniqueness of this beach of golden sand resides fundamentally in its bar, a calcareous reef more than 100 000 years old. The bar almost runs the 3100 meters of length of the beach parallel to the shore and at a distance of 200 meters, so it is a natural breakwater and provides a calm water in much of it. With an annual average temperature of 21º - 20º in the water-, it also has a unique ecosystem, with different habitats and abundant fish richness.
