We loved it all, clean, safe and very central. Eve accomodated another night. It was a little tricky to find but when we eventually found the green door a beautiful interior opened up to a wonderful surprise. Would definitely recommend this lovely place

The hotel is well equipped and friendly welcoming staff. A pretty atmosphere in a central part of the city of Venice. However if you are sensitive to chemicals and detergents I would not recommend. The smell has unforgiving strong and did not go away even with the windows open. These strong chemicals irradiated my eyes. I could even smell the clean products/detergents on my clothes my days after the stay. I hope the hotel changes to products that are not harsh or that organic that will not linger on the skin.

A little hard to find, no reception area, but good instructions on how to get there and where to find keys and the room. Great location! People were friendly, accommodating and great communication via WhatsApp.

It was challenging to find the entrance to the property and, since there seemed to be no reception, there was only remote support available. I booked a quiet room facing the courtyard but was given a different room, without any form of communication, that was above a busy restaurant facing the street.

Amazing place in a great location

Amazing place, so beautiful, clean and well kept. The communication with the host was great too and everything went very smoothly. Great location too. I would recommend to anyone and I am looking forward to staying at Antico Portego myself again!

The property is remotely managed and so there's no 24 desk. You have a contact number and any queries you have are answered quickly. The only difficulty we had was finding the door to the property but a very helpful waiter from one of the restaurants in the area quickly showed us and once we buzzed the door we were let in and the key to our room was exactly where we had been advised. We stayed in conchiglie room and it had the most lovely painting on the ceiling and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with toiletries and lovely fluffy towels. Wevhad a fridge with lots of complimentary soft drinks and beer and sparkling wine and plenty of options for tea and coffee. The entire building is beautifully decorated and it felt really bougie and authentic. The area is vibrant and bustling with loads of restaurants and shops and bars but our toom was really quiet, being tucked away from the street. We were able to leave our bags safely after checking out to avoid carrying them with us all day. The property is a 15 minute walk from the train station. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and would love to go back and stay again.

Nice hotel, newly renovated and clean. There is no reception but staff are on hand via Whatsapp. Cleaner lady was very nice and helpful. Good room although air con didn't work. That was OK for our trip March/April time but in summer would be tough without it. Area around hotel is very good and quieter than other parts of Venice.
