The Castello district, where the house is located, is the largest district in Venice with various urban and architectural elements, ranging from the most touristic area surrounding Palazzo Ducale, to the most humble, with the old houses of the shipyard workers . The name of this district derives from the castle erected in the neighborhood in Roman times. A large part is occupied by the huge shipyard, known as the Arsenale, and the rest of the neighborhood is a quiet area, where you can see some historic buildings and immerse yourself in typical Venetian life. One of the key points of the Castello district is the Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, the largest church in Venice. It is also pleasant to walk to the Arsenale and visit the Naval Museum and then arrive along the Seven Martyrs' Shore and the Slave's Edge in San Marco. Have a nice stay in the most beautiful city in the world
