The hotel is nice aesthetically and is in a good location. It is great that they offer shuttle services to and from the airport, as it is challenging to get around Venice. There seems to be gaps in communication between staff members. For example, we were promised our room would be ready ASAP at 10 AM ( which was well before the check-in time) but were not able to access a room until 2 PM. It would have been better if they were honest and let us know the room would not be available until the regular check-in time. We had an issue with our keycard not working, and it was promised the door would be fixed. It was not fixed for the duration of our stay. We were also promised to use the spa facilities complimentary for this inconvenience but then were questioned about the timing of our service and why we didn’t let them know 15 min in advance, as someone needs to turn the stream room and sauna on. They then let us know that it was not problem and someone would do it now and to wait for 30 minutes for it to heat up. For this inconvenience we were g given the “service for free”; however it was already supposed to be complimentary? Lastly, I checked with the hotel about our shuttle to the airport for our departure. I never heard a definitive answer back. A woman let me know that she would put us into the 10 AM time slot. Due to all of the miscommunication prior, I decided to check with someone at the front desk later that day. We were never added to the list- I had to alert them.
