Enjoyed our stay here. I loved that it was near the Rialto Bridge and their balconies have an amazing view. The hotel was quiet and very clean. Loved our room. Very comfortable and spacious. Also, the breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful as well.

Cheap and not so cheerful

Walked in to bedroom to find someone else’s bag in the room. We were told we needed to give a credit card number for any damage, yet the shower tray was already on the floor, so room was damaged to start with. Our small room was at the top of the stairs, and this meant lots of noise from other guests and also hotel staff, also lots of noise from outside the hotel with the local restaurant music lasting well into the night. Breakfast is worth skipping, no telling how long the food is left out for, and the environment it is kept in does not fill me with confidence of cleanliness, two bedrooms on the second floor are actually located in the ‘restaurant’ so guests are checking out/leaving their bedroom whilst you eat. Location was convenient and suited our short city break.

We tried to call Wotif as the description shows a balcony and when you book the room it doesn't say if it does or doesn’t have a balcony we were so disappointed as all the photos look like the room type had a balcony or a view There is no roof top as mentioned. The staff were very rude had snickering while we sorted things out and smoking outside the entrance of the hotel. So many staff but no services The only thing that was fantastic was the location we felt badly mislead on the rooms and the views from Wotif or the hotel who ever markets that very over priced. Right in the heart of Venice, this hotel overlooks the beautiful canal. The rooms and service were excellent, and the breakfast was lovely. This hotel has it all, we will definitely be coming back!

The staff was friendly and very helpful providing information about the area. The location was great, close to restaurants and other attractions. The only complaint was the A/C was not working well in our room. They did not have another room available for us and we had to wait for it to be repaired.

This hotel is in an amazing location! Right at the foot of the Rialto Bridge, has amazing views. It is a small boutique hotel. The rooms were warm when we arrived. It took maintenance to come fix the A/C's in all 3 rooms and sleeping with a fan which they provided. Silvia at the front desk was so helpful, giving us a map for a great walking tour, where to catch the Gondola, set up rides to the Murano glass factory and our water taxi transports to the Airport. We didn't have enough time to explore all that we wanted. the rooms need some maintenance which Silvia told us they are closing in January for a month of maintenance. It was in the perfect location!!

Sweet little Hotel near Rialto

Hotel Riva del Vin is located right on the canal steps from the Rialto Bridge. Very convenient location for walking around Venice. Our breakfast was included in our stay and it was a very large selection with a lot of variety. The front desk staff took very good care of us and they allowed for pre-and post trip luggage storage. The hotel and its amenities were lovely. We got dinner recommendations from the front desk and chose Al Gobbo di Rialto. It was excellent and would highly recommend. On a side note and having NOTHING to do with the hotel (and were NOT on the recommended list of eateries) - DO NOT EAT AT ANY OF THE CAFES RIGHT ALONG THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL UNLESS YOUR ITALIAN IS FLUENT SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING AND HOW MUCH IT COSTS.

Great central canal location. Pleasant and helpful staff. No English channels on TV despite many English speaking only guests…for the room rate of E350 + per night one would expect so. Can get noisy late at night due to music and restaurants and bars directly below our canal view room. Otherwise very pleasant stay.

Day staff (same woman each day) was so wonderful! The team even packed us a breakfast for our early flight! All were very accommodating. Just wish we could have adjusted the air conditioning in room as it was quite stuffy and pre-set.
