VELLUTO Luxury open space mezzanine and terrace self check in
The renovation project of this apartment consisted in the refurbishment of the pre-existing antique elements, with the aim of enhancing this kind of architecture of the past.
We decided to combine the historic setting with modern design furniture and create a great contrast with the shades of the velvet curtains and the precious fabrics of the sofas. This is the perfect atmosphere for relaxation, as it will allow you to slow down from a frenetic daily routine.
Since the whole area has been built on different levels, the apartment can be legitimately classified as a loft in harmony with the brick and scorzoni partition walls, the contrasting dark wooden paving and the raw wood beams ceiling.
The apartment offers a major bedroom with a king size bed, a living room with kitchen, a large terrace, a mezzanine with a comfortable sofa-bed, a smart-working area and a big bathroom.
A wrought iron winding staircase leads to the mezzanine, a room with two widows and two red velvet sofas, which can be easily transformed into a comfortable king size bed or two single beds, and a working or studying area.
At the end of the entrance corridor, two steps lead to the bathroom, a space which is characterised by green glazed ceramic walls, custom-made furniture, a large mirror and a spacious walk-in shower.

Two steps below there is a wide living room and the kitchen area, the peculiarities of this accommodation. The vaguely industrial aesthetic contrasts beautifully with the natural stone walls, from which some antique bricked-up arches and Istrian stone beams stand out. A peculiar sofa with its colourful embroidered fabric stands out on the shade of the velvet curtains, hence the name of the apartment. The whole area is then brightened up by a designer lamp.
On one side of the dining room there is a large furnished terrace with a unique panorama overlooking the rooftops of the city.
The sleeping area is slightly above-ground compared to the rest of the apartment and offers a comfortable king size bed. Some pieces of furniture and soft velvet curtains ensure the privacy of the bedroom area.
All the lights are designed by Artemide, whereas the fabric of the furnishings is by Christian Lacroix.
