Wonderful

This was our favorite place to stay in a 23 day trip to Europe visiting many locations.
The view is worth a million dollars!
It may be tricky to find, but the reviews were helpful. We arranged a taxi to pick us up near the train station (25 €) and also at pick up time.
We walked to the town through the path from the location. We are not hikers but yet we did a pretty good job and enjoyed the views and nature all the way down. To come up, we took a bus (towards Sn. Bernardino ) and then walked for about 15 minutes to our location. The staff was nice and prepared a really nice breakfast for us both days. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Amazing location with breathtaking views and a spectacular setting. Pictures do not do justice so if you are planning to do a visit to Cinque Terre you should choose this place.
The crazy thing is that I read reviews about the drive, terrain and the remoteness so I had an idea of what to expect. What I envisioned was pretty darn accurate! Tight roads, steep cliffs, hairpin turns all while climbing and dropping to what id say one of the highest peaks within the rugged landscape.
Plan to have a vehicle that can handle all of this along with a positive outlook and a love for adventure….because chances are, you will get lost.
But don’t lose hope…
Along the way between the freeway exit and Vernazza you’ll find a quaint stop named Bistrot PZ. Pop in and Rolando and staff will get you relaxed with a limoncello and will reassure your decision to stay at Locanda Valeria was one of the best decisions you made during your vacation.
Once you arrive, you will be taken care of by a wonderful staff (including the Gatta) who is the ‘principessa’ of the grounds.
Don’t overlook this location, it truly is a gem and if you are the type to refrain from sharing space with tons of tourists crowding your vibe, look no further and book it.
Ciao 🇮🇹
What an amazing stay! The host were so friendly and breakfast was amazing. A.c in the room worked and the view was great. The room was great for two people. The hike down to town was steeo and short, it was fun for us because we are active and do it often. If you are out of shape I would not reccomend unless you are willing to drive to town or pay for a taxi. It was perfect for our short trip.
We stayed only one night to finish off our 2 week Italy vacation. It was well worth the short taxi drive there to enjoy the spectacular views and quiet retreat from Rome and Naples. Warm hospitality with a generous breakfast!
Very clean and lovely Bed and Breakfast.
One has to take a taxi (25 euro) to get to the place after arriving at the Vernazza train station but it's worth it.
Amazing Place! The view was exceptional, beyond description! Our room opened up to a veranda overlooking the Mediterranean with views of Vernazza and Monterosso. The accommodations were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and the presentation was a 10! I can’t wait to return. One note, it is a little way from town up the hill so you will need a taxi or there is a hiking trail that will take about an hour uphill or 20-30 minutes downhill to town.
Beautiful views from the rooms.
Transportation is available separately to and from the hotel- is a shuttle service and you pay separately per ride- kind of pricey but you kind of have to because is high up there and even though some people walk - it is a long steep walk… but so worth it.
The service is phenomenal- Martha and Amina are amazing- they have the best hospitality! Thank you for everything!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Its a vineyard located on mountain area. You must have a rental car to get to the property. You must have experice driving in narrow uphill roads. Its a beautiful area of surround by five beautiful charming towns between the mountains by the ocean. You must visit all. Unbelievable beauty. Its a once a life time experience
After driving a very winding road I arrived at this very amazing place called Locanda Valeria which was quietly nestled upon a cliff face overlooking the ocean.
It was a most amazing feeling as I looked out over the ocean from my veranda, listening to birds and watching the sunset.
The nights rest was peaceful and when I awoke, there was an amazing breakfast prepared with complimentary cappuccino.
I am very thankful and pleased that I got to enjoy Locanda Valeria and would highly recommend it to other travellers.
Kind Regards
Andrew
This place is at the top of a hill. There’s nothing at walking distance but the view is breathtaking. The service was amazing and the responsiveness excellent.
If you’re looking for a very quiet place to relax, this small hotel is perfect.
Hard to get to it though.
Gorgeous property with phenomenal views and peaceful relaxing atmosphere. Bruno was an amazing host. This property was our favorite on our two week journey through Italy.
Its a little bit of a challenge to get to the place, but well worth it when you arrive! You will have to catch a bus up that drops you off about a half mile from the b&b. You could also get a taxi. The view is amazing and Bruno the chef will treat you so well.
The property is located in a panoramic spot overlooking the sea and surrounded by a lovely garden. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was good. It was good value for money compared to the prices in the area.
The only problem is that there is nothing around and the property is very difficult to reach if you don't have a car, as there are no public transport, so we had to walk. There is a very tough hike trail from Vernazza, or you have to walk around an hour from Corniglia. Otherwise the taxi can take you there but it will cost you €25. It would be great if they included a shuttle service.
