Breach of privacy

The room was spacious and the location of the hotel was great. However, the self check-in process took a very long time and involved answering many unnecessary questions. The biggest issue during our stay was a serious breach of privacy. On the second day, the owner messaged us asking if he could go into our room to take something. We replied within 30 minutes and said “No.” His response was: “I wrote to you a time ago. We are authorised to enter if we need something from our machines. We have 40 rooms and we need to take something of ours. They knocked, there was no one there, they came in and took the remote control. Let's not create problems where there aren't any.” This message clearly shows that the staff entered our room without permission, even after we said no. Guests should be aware that staying here may involve the risk of someone entering your room without consent.

The location of the property was awesome but the accommodations were less nice than we expected. The room/apartment was a little dingy--it was clean but not very "nice". The A/C wouldn't budge below 23 degrees C. And the bed only had a sheet on it. There was a comforter in the closet but it didn't have a cover on it and looked dirty. Otherwise, the building was in a great location and quiet at night.

1. We do not have an international data plan nor do we have access to WhatsApp. They have a totem or bad translation for kiosk that was easy to access. 2. The room was clean no issues there. 3. Wear and tear, room needs some fixes. A horrible storm came through and the rain came in through a closed bathroom window and flooded the floor. The (fake) boards near the bed had shifted and not been repaired. The wall scones near the bed were hanging on for dear life the were loose. 4. The bed and mattress. Were old and had a serious dip in the middle. It’s a good thing my husband and I like to cuddle. 5. Lights and electricity. To save a few bucks as soon as you remove the room card from the slot by the door the electric shuts off. It is annoying when one person runs to get food and the other is left in the dark. 6. Great location: best for all the tourist places. The arena is close so are the Romeo and Juliet homes.

Had a nightmare with self check in. And with the language barrier and being a Sunday I could not receive any helpful guidance. I had done a pre check in on line. When at property I input my name as on passport and it says I have no reservation I input my shortened name and screen with name and a red x and red check in incomplete. After 2 hours with no help from Hotel an Italian couple try to check in and they struggled. Finally the lady tried touching the red check incomplete and the check in process started. A simple Email or text would have saved me two hours. They even said this crazy. Hotel might rethink there special instructions. Hotel was nice and convenient

Nice property, view was cute, felt safe there, clean. Unfortunately there were no blankets on bed, just sheets. Also no kettle or coffee machine, was hard for me since I needed hot water for the tea and it was no way to get it. Good stay for the budget. Liked it.

Great room only option right next to old town. Coffee, shopping and dining within 200m. Great place for the price. However NO amenities, coffee maker, hot pot, not even glasses for a drink. Would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is not for everyone. I found check-in difficult and frustrating but for some fine. There is 0 interaction with a living person at any time you're there. So know what your getting in to and hope you don't have any problems. The location is great and the room was bare minimum but clean and adequate. Walls are very thin so you hear everything around you. I had difficulty getting a cab to catch a train and in the stress left a bag with possesions in room. Submitted request for info on situation twice and have heard nothing back. I tried to call a person on their help line but reached a person clearly at home who couldn't understand me (only English speaking) and I couldn't understand him (only Italian speaking). His approach was to say no help and hang up. I would like follow-up because if there is a way to get my package I'd be very happy but don't hold much hope to hear back.
