Basic room and excellent breakfast. The highlight here are the bird cliffs - not to be missed - that are best viewed early in the morning or in the evening.
Lovely owner was welcoming as we ate dinner at on site restaurant. Was a much needed respite from some crazy weather. Cozy and clean place to hunker down. Great food.
The owner, Birna, makes this place shine. Very friendly, funny, and personable. She was the highlight of our stay. Our room was clean and very spacious. The bed was great and we slept very well. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area ran by a wonderful owner.
If you come between aug-Apr, do not stay in this place. They charged for using kitchen and bed linens separately $24/person. I end up has to used my sleeping bed on the bared bed. If you want to use kitchen another $24/person. And there is no puffins on the cliff in Aug. And free wifi only works in the lobby not the room!!!

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
NO shower available if your room includes only a shared bathroom. NO bath towels provided, so be aware before you book of these limitations! Guests will need sleeping bag for their bunk beds because no bed linens provided, so bring your pillow cases. Rooms have one electirc outlet only, so choose between your room light and charging your phone or laptop. The kitchen facilities are basic and do not have paper towels. The Bird Cliffs are a 3o minute rough and dangerous dirt road trip each way, and the puffins are not as plentiful. The
The hotel was a very Icelandic "stretch" facility with a dozen rooms or more in an unattractive row. Once inside, though, the accommodations were good. The best was the staff, especially the owner, who went out of her way to keep us entertained long after opening hours. THE PUFFINS is why you want to be there. Of all of the places in Iceland, these Puffins were the most accessible, and least overcrowded by tourists.
I loved everything about this place! Remotely located, surrounded by dramatic and beautiful landscapes, and super nice staff. They offered to wake me up to see the northern lights, and also prepared me the biggest breakfast to go. I’d love to come back some other time!

Very close to latrabjarg cliffs. The room I paid for was pretty small and outdated, but the whole building was a bit rustic so it was ok. The beds don't have blankets which was a bit annoying. There weren't shower facilities avaliable (i may be wrong and didn't know where to look) and I paid 52 Canadian for a cod fillet and soup. Could've been better but staff are really nice and the location is great, it was clean too.
Amazing customer service! The woman who helped us was very kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious too. The only thing that would have made it better was the bed. Ours tilted down near the head so it felt like we slept upside down all night. Otherwise great place, would recommend!
Excellent communication with host, including detailed directions from the car ferry at Brjanslaekur. We selected this property for its proximity to the Latrabjarg Cliffs, less than 30 minutes away on a gravel road. Accomodations in a separate building were basic but comfortable. Breakfast in the main building, a short walk away, was good.
Situated close to the Latrabjarg Cliffs and overlooking the beach, this is a well situated hotel. The hotel could be freshened up as there is cracked concrete around that gives it a run down appearance.
What a great and quirky place. It’s perfect because of its oddness. It’s a bit of a maze to get from the room to the shower. It was all ok because there were so few guests. It’s remote and pricey but worth it. The dinner was fantastic and a substantial breakfast was included in the price.

The place is pretty old fashioned and felt a bit like stepping back in time. Tbh the shared showers weren't great and there was no sink anywhere other than the toilet, the kitchen didn't have any dish soap and other essential things and you're already paying that amount so might as well gel some sheets.. BUT they did say that ahead of time and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming which made my stay really nice. Included breakfast was good too with brilliant homemade bread, and location is great by the beach
